I'm gonna tell yall what has happened to me in the last few weeks. Some of yall that hunt down South may want to be on the look out.
Made a coon hunt bout 4 weeks ago and it was very hot. Me and the dog got a little too hot. Cut the hunt short and went home. When i went to get a bath i found a tick on my shoulder. No big deal as i have gotten MANY ticks off me and the dogs over the years.
Bout 4 days later i started feelin bad kinds like i was gettin the flu. I had the flu shot so i figured i had got a differnt strain or something. Being hard headed like i am i tryed to tuff it out. Finally put me to bed for 4 days with fever and chills. I got up one day and went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror and found a hole in my shoulder bout the size of a pencil eraser. Decided i better see the Dr.
He said it was a spider bite. I told him it was a tick bite as i was the one that pulled it off and i know what a tick looks like. They did blood work and all i here for now is the test are inconclusive. Still waiting for more test. Been on antibiotics for a week now. Have no energy and when i get hot i feel like i'm gonna faint.
Hope to soon find out what the problem is as i got a young dog that needs huntin ;)

Hope you heal up & get to feeling better soon! You know,I use to not worry bought tics that much myself growing up.I remember mommy always checking my head & looking me over back then.I can remember times also that she would find several on me already attached.I got one off my leg that was attached about 4 weeks ago.Since then I have been spraying down ever time I go into the woods cause Im kindda scared what might could happen from a tick now.

Skipper, hope you get to feeling better and let us know what you find out!

You know we are neighbors and I go to these pine thickets about every other day and they are full of ticks 365'!

I don't put the dogs up until I pick all the ticks I can see off of them and usually get the rest in a few days when they get full.

I have pulled many off of me! Now you got me worried!!

I was wondering where you have been!!
