In the future I intend to own a Kemmer Dog for coon hunting . My preference is a dog that stays busy and hunts out to 1000yds or so without sign cur dog size, good mouth , hard tree dog and preferably silent on track. My question is. Is there any certain crosses that produce this? Are is it a crap shoot?

Most Kemmers can produce this type dogs but there are certain crosses that may do it more consistently. Lady Nugget bred to Larry Harringtons 3/4 Wis Buc k dog made some of what you are looking for but not sure about them being silent on track. There are several people on this board who may have this type cross being made...good luck |

I have a dog out of Lloyd Herrings Bo dog and a Striker gyp that is as you describe. He is not what i'd call a hard tree dog cause he likes to tree back off the tree but he'll stay there till you get to the tree. Bo is silent on track also and a hard tree dog. |
