I have shot a few but never killed any sq with it. I use to hunt with a 22 mag and loved it. I aint scared of over kill. lol Dead is dead!

yes, this is only gun for me, the 17 mach 2 bulistic tips with bull barrel, is deadly, i dont eat squirrel or coon any more so shot damage doint matter to me, best gun that i have every ownd, with one problem , if you leve shot shell in it, it will swell then you must pic it out. num 2 gun will be nilon 66 22.

My hunting buddy has a 17 and we shot quite a few coon out with it did a fine job a lot louder than a 22.

17 hmr will certainly kill the squirrel, but it sure makes a pie out of it. I like to eat em and the hmr don't leave much for cooking.

Coon on the other hand, will flat tear the bark off a tree running down after getting one of those little bullets in the rump, sure makes em mad.
I hunt the "PURE" KEMMER MEAT DOGS.
No byproducts!!!!

they are great little guns but if you want to keep what you shoot dont use the ballistic tips.
