What guns ya'll mostly squirrel hunting with? I use 10/22, HMR 17, & 20 Mossenburg ( child size) with a extra tight turkey choke. The 10/22 and 17 are scoped. Gene

Nice looking gun's I have a 22/45 mark 3 pistol have never killed a squirrel with it but may take it hunting I all so like cci ammo Use the mini mag or stinger all so some cheaper ammo I like just as good is 30 grain hollow point Aguila Supermaximum hyper velocity I ordered a brick 10 50 Round boxes shipping and all for a little over 30 dollars this ammo shoots over 1700 feet per second.
TIM
Yeah..it's fast...but like the Stingers(1650fps) they are LOUD ! & not as accurate but they do have a little more "Thump" to them. My favorite "Brick ammo" is the CCI Blazers or American Eagle by Federal.
HUNT HARD - SHOOT STRAIGHT - KILL CLEAN - THANK GOD

Not saying that my 20 gauge will reach the top of some of yall's tall timber, but it does reach out there and touch 'em farther than a lot of other 20 gauge's that I've seen.

With the right choke (turkey super full) and a 3 inch # 6, I have killed a tom turkey at 50 yards with my 20 ga. 870.

My 20 has a Full choke, but it's not inter-changeable. I'm not sure exactly how old it is, but it's pretty old, it has no serial number or anything like that, and the number hasn't been filed off either. Would like to know about how old it is though.

Tom I have 1 clip that holds 6 rounds and another that holds 10 rounds but it's long and sticks too far out the bottom of the gun for me. I like the 6 shot by for the best but you can't hardly find them. I more than likely have killed more game with this 22 than I have any gun I own. I have always sighted it in at 80 yds. This way it shoots just a little high at 25 yds. but dead on at 80 yds. and out to a 100 yds. you still just shoot at the target or at what ever. It shoots the regular Remington long rifles better than anything I have shot thru it but I have it sighted in with the yellow jackets at the time and they have always had 1 or 2 out of every 10 shots that will drift out as you can see they did on this target. I killed another squirrel today at the camp at 81 steps with it. If you have had a 541 S then you know what kind of trigger they have (when you get the cross hairs on the target just think about pulling the trigger and it shoots). I have saw a few for sale in the last few years but they were mighty proud of them. I forget just what i gave for this gun 30 years ago but it was $500 or so and 22's back then wasn't but like $75. My grandaddy thought I had lost my mind when I paid that for this gun but I have never regretted it not 1 day............Big Ronnie
