What guns ya'll mostly squirrel hunting with? I use 10/22, HMR 17, & 20 Mossenburg ( child size) with a extra tight turkey choke. The 10/22 and 17 are scoped. Gene

I still squirrel hunt with an old Stevens bolt action 4-10 with 5or6 shot. I have had it for 54 years and it was old when my dad bought it. Guess I'm kind of attached to it.

I hunt w/ one of three .410's , the favorite being a sweet little Italian made double barrel plus I usually carry the Ruger single six -----------just in case a coon gets treed .shot size ? 3in. #5's get the job done . seldom have I seen where I could do much good w/ the rifle . |
| What the British attempted to do at gun point is now done by men in black robes in courts of law . | |

We usually carry the 541S remington 22 and 1 of us carrys a shotgun also. This next year I want to get Laree a 3 in. 20 ga. 870 remington so when just her and Machelle go it will be easier and lighter for them to carry...........Big Ronnie |

hi everybody i am a newbie to the board i am a little bit of a gun collector my favorite gun for sq hunting...i use a shotgun sometimes and a rifle some times depending on my mood. in a shotgun my favorite is a remington 870 wingmaster in a 20ga or 16ga usally in a 20ga i like a number 4shot winchester XX highbrass shell 2 3/4 and when i use a 16ga i like a 6 shot winchester XX highbrass i like the 870 there very tough and reliable and i have never owned one that didnt shoot really good ...almost forgot i use full choke in them to......now in a rifle i like the remington nylon 66 there light wieght, very accuate and super reliable, there the only 22 i know of that dont require lubracent on the bolt .u can drop them in the mudd hunt in the rain or snow and not worry about damaging your gun ..the only draw back i hear of some people complaining about is the trigger pull is a little bit stiff but after u get use to it u shouldnt have no trouble and any more there very collectable they went way up in value in the past 10 or 15yrs.......i use the CCI 36gran mini-mag hollow points for sq i also like the ruger 10/22 and the 77/22 all good accuate dependable guns

Most of the time I use an OLD single shot 410. It was the first gun my dad gave me. He told me he traded a dog for it when he was in his twenties and it was old then, so it is over 50 years old. I shoot 3" # 4 shot. If I'm still hunting I use either my marlin or savage 22. I'm thinking about getting one of the single shot guns with a 22 and 20 ga barrel, I think Rossi makes one. H&R used to make one but I can't seem to find them. |
