Anyone here have or tried the "Adult" Air Rifles ? I love shooting squirrels with mine, I have two...one is a Hammerli Storm & the other(my favorite) is a Gamo Whisper Classic ! Both are .177 cal Springers (single cock/ barrel break) & both shoot good ! My Hammerli Storm- ![]() ![]() ![]() I'll need to get pics of my Whisper...it's sweet ! |

I was wanting to start a thread on this very subject but didn't seem to ever get around to it. So I'm glad you did! Which photo shoes the Gamo? What especially do you like about it over the other brands? I have seen on another web-site people talking about this very brand. Also what kinda scope do you have on the rifle in the 1st photo? What kind of range do you figure you can accurately & cosistantly kill squirrels with an air rifle? |

Thats a nice looking air-rifle. I have read about adult air-rifles in a few different gun and hunting magazines, and have even read a couple stories about hunting with them. I read in a 2011 Gun Buyers Guide about a .357 caliber adult air-rifle that can be used on deer, hogs and other big game animals. This is something that seems it would be fun and interesting to get into. |

I have a gamo .177 and a crossman titan .22 I use for squirrel. I think they are also great for introducing your pup to a gun. crossman is on top

Farmboy...I haven't posted the pic of my Whisper yet...looks identical to the one in the pic elykins posted(the bottom one) I have a RWS 3x9 scope on my Whisper. With a .177 Pellet, I wouldn't try to take one out past 30~35yds. .22cal out to 40~45yds. Don't let the AirRifle tag fool you, these things are powerful ! |

I have a cheap break-barrel 177. Killed 10plus coons and a few slicktales with the gamo gold raptor huntin pellets. How bout that 22cal? the sportsman carries the gun but very rare do they have the ammo . I like the 22 but dont want 1 i cant get a steady supply for. |

I watched some people shooting .50 cal air guns on youtube. The were taking down deer and hitting a metal plate at 200 yards. Mike |
