I need some first hand experience & info please. Do any of you coonhunters use a high quality lazer on your guns for coonhunting? Do you know of anyone that does? What have you actually seen of the lazers performance good & bad while coonhunting? I know they had some problems when they first came out several years back & I don't care to hear about all that cause I'm only interested in the newer up to date models. Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance. |

Wendell, I have the Crimson Trace on my Ruger Mark III and it is totally nice. I can' t hit the side of a born with a pistol but with the Crimson Trace lazer, I do pretty good! What I also like it the lazer is built into the hand grips that came with the laser. No bulky scope type mounts and such! It also projects a good solid spot in the tallest of trees and we got some good'en in south La. The crimson Trace is expensive but well worth it!! |

I have always found you get what you pay for when it comes to scopes or almost any type of optics as is the laser. The better the grade the better it works and the longer it last...........Big Ronnie |

Here is a pic of my Mark III. The lazer is part of the handle!![]() Like I said, I can not shoot a pistol at all! This is a 9 shot pattern at 22 steps with the laser in day light!

I put a cheap wal-mart laser on my little cricket rifle and have toted it in my game bag for 12 months now. It shoots very well and has not been knocked off zero once. It is way more durable than I thought it would be. What I like is you can take people who do not normally shoot and they can hit well at night. |

They work great . Just be sure that when you clean your gun, not to get any oil on the laser. If you do and you turn it on it throws a bad spot. You can take alcohol on a cotton swab and fix it. |

Tim the grips are part of the crimson trace laser. Note the laser beam is just under the ejection port and the on/off button is in the front center of the grip. There is a very tiny hole above the lazer light with and come with a small allen wrench to adjust and sight in. The pistol came with beautiful rose wood handles but at least I can hit something now!! I believe the cost is around $350 or something for the crimson laser. You can google their web site and fine the one that fits your pistol and cost. |
