878 shot gun; 87o shotgun

This is my 870 and 878 shot gun's both are 30 inch barrel full choke. I hope it shows how much they are alike other than auto and pump.

Tim I haven't saw one of them and I have never heard of a 878 untill this one. I shoot a 3 1/2 inch 870 and I got 16 ga. 1100, a 12 ga. 3 inch 1100 plus a 12 ga. 3 inch 1187 plus I got my remington 541 S 22. I'm going to get Laree a 870 20 ga. 3 inch to sq. hunt with next year. I'm remington poor here. You just as well to be makeing plans on next year comeing on down here and spend a week with me on Yucatan and we will hunt some...........Big Ronnie

Sound's good to me I might just pull up ready to go. I have only seen 2 878 shot guns this one and one more I think they were made in the late 50's early 60's right after the 58 Sportsman I am not sure how many was made but there could not have been many.

Ronnie, I have a 20 ga. 3 inch youth 870 I really like. Laree better hold on tight when she shoots a 3 inch mag, it sure kicks hard, lol. I shoot 2 3/4 at the squirrels, I killed a turkey with my 870 at 50 steps with a 3 inch # 6 shot.

I shot a single shot 20 gauge very light gun with a 3 inch shell and it kicked like a mule.
