An older friend of mine was telling me last week, that he had went by another friend of ours' gunsmith shop to visit. He said that while he was there, a guy brought in an old shotgun, a pump, and it had set trigger's. He said there was no marking's on the gun as to brand name, where it was made, or anything like that. It was a 12 gauge. He also said that it was in such pitiful condition, it wasn't worth a dime, all it was good for was junk, or something to show, tho it was in such bad shape he'd be ashamed of it. Does anyone have any idea who made this gun, has anyone ever heard of pumpgun's with set trigger's?

Seen a couple of them years ago. They weren't set triggers though. The gun didn't cock by cycling the pump. That would only load a shell and you had to push the front trigger forward to cock the hammer. The rear trigger could then fire the gun. The front trigger was curved to the back and the rear trigger was curved to the front.

I'll have to mention this to my ole hunting buddy. He didn't say anything about the rear trigger being that way, but I'll ask him. Thanks, Mr. Jamison.
