Well my season is over so I remember last year the sand bass run crazy right after squirrel season. Well we were right. We has a slow start but once we figured out how to catch them it was bingo on every cast. Levi caught the smallest and the biggest. I thought the limit was 50 each but through much calling and asking we found out it was 25 each. So...we hurried and pulled up anchor and costed around the bend and threw all but 75 back (we had a bunch) and counted twice. We cranked back up and just around the next bend was the Louisiana Game Warden. I gladly stopped and we counted fish. Wow that was close. Billy said we had to put in an extra dollar in the offering plate!

I cant wait. Ours usually start last two weeks of march. If you get on the river you can catch some hybrids that will push 20 pounds. You better have your line tied tight on them things.
