I sure am happy with this male pup from Ronnie and Laree, out of New Nugget and Kemmers Miss Katie. He spends a LOT of time with the family. He is a live wire, very intelligent. We have squirrels here in the yard and he knows what "squirrel" means, will chase them up a tree but hasn't really started treeing but he knows to look up the tree. He is cautious about anything but not really scared of anything, he pays no attention at all to super loud thunder or machinery . He wants to bay the cat. Very fast and athletic. I've shot the .22 with shorts around him, no reaction. Our squirrel season starts May 15 so I can start walking him in the woods and carry the .22. Coons in July... I think he will make a tree dog, I have high hopes. I guess no one would offer a huge price for a 3 month old pup....but it would take an insane amount to interest me. Do you know the feeling to say "Not for sale at any price" ? Thanks Ronnie and Laree. |

Mr. Ron I understand exactly what your talking about because Laree's Baby Girl pup is a full sister to your pup and there is not enough money to buy her. Laree would sell me before she sold some of her dogs. Pup is looking good and we hope he continues to please you..............Big Ronnie |

Well, he is just a pup you know...but I haven't had a dog in several years and now at age 59 I am trying again to have a good tree dog. I was fortunate to get this one at this time of year so I can hunt him next winter. It seems hard to find a pup from this strain in my area, I would hate to have to come up with one. So you can see why this one is so important to me, it may be the last one I ever have. Anyhow thanks for the kind comments . |

Ronald, I really like the breeding of your pup. My ole Turbo was bred a lot like your pup and I have enjoyed the same blood for most of 20 years now. Good luck and hopefully you will enjoy these Kemmers like many of us have done for years. Charles |

Marion, I live in Taylor, southwest Ark about 5 miles from Louisiana. Charles, thanks for the kind words! I had Kemmers from 1983-1995, heavy yellow Jack, that I was real proud of. Caught lots of coons and squirrels. I have confidence in these Kemmers that most of them will make tree dogs if hunted. I plan to hunt mine! Thanks for the articles you have written in the yearbooks, you see I have traps set for squirrels so your advise is valuable to me to get my pup off to a good start. I have had good luck in the past training these Kemmers, they never ran off game except maybe a possum at first....nothing like having tree power programmed into them. |
