I was in the woods before 4 this morning. My Peat dog had winded from the truck so I turned him loose. He was bawlin and squallin down the hill and pulled up treed about 350 yards. I listened for a few minutes and cranked up to get closer. He left the tree and met me in the road. OK fine. I loaded him up and moved on. I stopped at a trail and cut Peat and Nash loose. Walked in about 100 yards and Peat struck in the ravine to my right. I get a great cell signal there so I looked to see who was on the Kemmer site. Bullet was the only member on. Shortly Peat treed and Nash joined him. I was almost crawling in there because it was so steep and thick too. I did get an open view of the tree and saw some beautiful eyes through the leaves !! Here`s a video ![]() I loaded them up and moved down the road to another trail head. They didn`t go down the trail I had chosen. They had their on idea. They both struck and trailed and treed together. I cranked up and moved down the road and got to within 80 yards of them. Peat stayed there while I walked in. It was an easy walk and although I couldn`t see the coon, I feel sure he was there. I tied them back at Bullet`s suggestion and let them tree while I looked some more. It was getting light so I called it a wonderful morning. I whistled all the way to the truck. You know, these dogs will make you whistle a short video

Way to go Troye! You have some fine young dogs that would make anyone whistle!! Next time pup come to meet you when you crank up. Head him back towards the tree and try to get him back on the tree. After a few times, he will be waiting on you to get there!! Nice job!! |

Take Charles' advice Troye. I bout ruined Bullet with the four wheeler. I started marking the trees and when he left the tree to run the four wheeler i'd walk him back to the tree. He finally got the idea, now you could land an airplane and he will stay treed. Sounds like your gonna have a nice pair of coon dogs
