Took Gus and bell out this morning after work. Gus is my new pup from Preston's cousin Danny. I've had him out in the holler behind my house quite a bit, but this is his first outing to my hunting grounds. Bell done more of what she's been doing, hunting hard and not treeing a thing. Blew up some hogs in a cane break and decided they weren't for her. Now gus is 10 or 11 weeks old and a different critter. This pup will up and leave you if you get still too long. He'll get plum out of sight and then some. Got his nose in everything he can get it in, and is an all around good pup in my book. He stretched out on half a dozen or more trees with a lot of interest in what his nose was telling him was up there. I'll bet by end of February he'll be treeing. I am some happy with this feller. I'm gonna hunt bell till she's 2 before I give up on her. She's got all the go and hunt anyone could want, just don't put nothin at the end.
Here's a few pics of my dogs.

He is a real good acting pup. Thad dude is almost big as bell. Hopefully you'll see him again pretty soon. Took him and bell out last night for about an hour and a half. It was Gus' first time out at night. He stayed closer than during the day, but he hunted up an armadillo.
