Sighting in; a scope

Do you guy's have any trouble sighting in a scope? I know that with open sights you take the Rear sight the way you want the bullet to go. Or the front sight in the opposite direction. But the way the arrows on a scope turret look. You'd have to go opposite of the direction, the arrow on the turret is pointing to move the bullet in the right direction!!!!! I KNOW!!! TANKER

Bill, just bore site your scope then put in a gun rest or vise to stabalize the gun, shoot a target at about 25 yards, move the cross hairs to the bullet hole! Your are done!!

What about a 12 ga.? Thats what I plan on using as soon as my guy is big enough to go. They don't seem to be giving much $$$ for the skins anyway. Real safe as well, a single shot type would be easy to fool with in the dark and no need to worry about where a bulllet will land.

12 guage would work fine, after the leaves are down in most cases. But you wouldn't believe how tall some tree's in these mountains are! They grow straight up, trying to get the most sun. I just like a 22, so I can pick my shot. And you're right about fur prices, And we have some prime furs here, do to all the cold weather.
