I went to the local wal mart yesterday and ask for some .22 lr bullets and they didn't have any. So i went to a gun shop and ask for a brick he said he would only sell me 3 boxes because it was hard to come by. Today i went to another local sporting goods store and they didnt have any either. I was wondering if other people were seeing this too ? |

Same here too. Shot gun shells are hard to come by too. About the only thing it seems you can buy here is high $ hi power rifle rounds.

Same here I been looking for some for 3 weeks and I've found some twice and just got lucky on them. The truck had just delivered them right before I got there. And all they will sell you around here is 1 box because they are so hard for the stores to get. Jonathan Hood Marietta, MS (662)397-0734 |

here too , cabela's and sheels the two major gun shops here in rapid city sd have very little inventory of anything guns or ammo . sheels have even removed most of their gun racks and floor space occupied by soft handgun cases or are empty and they say they don't know when ammo will be restocked on shelves |

Yep, here we go again. I looked at 44mag.com yesterday and they were sold out of every single magazine they sell. They have thousands of back orders and it's taking at least 20 days to fill the orders they already have. I see the prices of ARs have gone through the roof as well. Looks like we will have to wait another 4 years before gun prices get back to normal. Our shelves are almost empty as well. Makes a guy wonder, what if something really happened????? Michael |

It's really bad when you can't find 22 ammo. It was the same in 2008, went from having shelves packed with bulk 22 ammo for around $10 a brick on the floor of wal mart, to being lucky to get a brick behind the counter and the price more than doubled. I really hope that were not looking at the beginning of something big this time. I should have stocked up on 22 ammo, but I figgured there may be a changing of the guard in the white house that would do away with the ammo tax that caused the price jump. |

The second amendment might guarantee the right to own a firearm but as there were no storebought cartridges then there is no guarantee about ammo. What good is our guns if we have nothing to shoot in them? I fear I see bad things to come, First the socalled assault wepons, then any and all semiautomatic rifles and shotguns. They'll find no reduction in crime rate so any gun other the a singleshot. I doubt if it's about crime anyway, it's about goverment fearing us. I'm advising my kids and grandkids to buy a muzzleloader with interchangeable barrels with something like a 7mm08, all get the same caliber and stock as many shells as they can plus stock as much black powder and 50 cal bullets as they can. I think one that had a 4570 barrel so we can handload black powder ammo. By the time all that is used up there will back to normal or there won't even be a United States. Read the history of Hitler in Germany, which I can remember, and if that doesn't scare you into think I just might not be as crazy as you think. |
