I watched my fifteen month 25 pound hybrid walk right up on a full grown coyote. I screamed , the coyote turned to run, and my pup started to chase. I yelled again and he came back to me. I actually saw the coyote stand up. It must have been laying on the ground in a sunny spot. I almost had a shot but was afraid I would hit my pup. I also was concerned if I did not make a good shot that a wounded coyote might turn mean. I hate coyotes.
