Signature Size; How big do we want them?

Pretty damn mundane intro topic to this lobby. But welp, it was inevitable.

Let me get straight to the point:
Code:

<style>
div.sig_sizer {max-height:250px;max-width:500;overflow:hidden;}
</style>

<script type="text/javascript">
var td=document.getElementsByTagName('td');
for(i=0;i<td.length;i++){
if(td[i].className=='c_sig'){td[i].innerHTML='<div class="sig_sizer">'+td[i].innerHTML+'</div>';}}
</script>

With this code I can set a maximum height/width cutoff for signatures. Too large signatures pretty much distort the page layout and that's more disgusting than microwaved diapers. So where should we draw the limit?

Side Note: Setting overflow to auto will allow scrollbars to appear for users to see the hidden parts of the signature. Do we want scrollbars or just a plain cutoff?

It was kind of annoying on the old site to have 90% of the user's post be a signature, and 10% just being him saying ''Good job''.

The limit shouldn't be too low though, but the height definitely shouldn't be too high either. Maybe 500x250px.

40% of a normal size, the size that Masterofknees post for an example?

500x250 seems reasonable. I'll implement it and leave this shit up for debate if anyone want to be self-important and vouch against it. You know, forum ideologies... :P
