I'm actually on the fence about whether or not to continue Aurland as I had it in Lucerna, or expand it into something else. I think as a new region, Koholeth is in need of larger powers to more or less set the boundaries of both IC historical lore, and modern geopolitics. That would be my main reason for creating a larger/more powerful state than Aurland was in Lucerna (a minnow for all intents and purposes).

That being the case, I was thinking of establishing a Cromwellian anglo(/franco?)phone nation, with a mixture of Anglo Saxon, Norse-Gaelic, and French culture. I'm thinking it should be a major power, perhaps even the premier power of what constitutes our geopolitical/cultural "West." It will also be rather mean spirited D:< Before I fill out the below app, I would like some input from you peoples.

Nation name:
Real life culture influence:
Real life culture of former colonizer (if applicable):
Population:
GDP per capita:
Military manpower (active/reserve):
Language(s) spoken:

Putin if he was literally a bear, with the brain of Bismarck, and the good looks of Maggie Thatcher.

Nation name: Aurdan (possibly a placeholder)
Full name: Aurdanic Empire
Real life culture influence: British Isles (England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland), France, Norse-Gael
Real life culture of former colonizer (if applicable): N/A, we were the colonizers
Population: 94,750,000
GDP per capita: $33,800
Military manpower (active/reserve): 460,000 active; 800,000 reserve
Language(s) spoken: English, French (official); Cornish, Manx, Scottish Gaelic, Scots, Irish, Old Irish, Welsh
Link to claim (optional): A northernly set of isles, preferably with a coastal enclave on the :European: continent
Additional info (optional):

The Aurdish Isles are home to a hodgepodge of cultures due to a number of historical migrations of Celtic, Germanic, and Romantic peoples. The Aurvanic Empire emerged to become a major power, and established a vast colonial empire.

The authoritarian imperial government is administered by the Lord Regent who heads the Regency Council. The country's aristocracy has historically exerted tremendous power over national affairs, and continues to do so. Nationalism and conservatism are prevailing ideals in both historical and contemporary Aurvan, and the country maintains a large amount of interests and influence across the globe, which it protects with one of the largest and most powerful militaries in the region (perhaps largest navy?).

I'm definitely very interested in the Aurdanic Empire having colonised the Matanese archipelago in the past. If you wish, would the mid 15th Century be suitable?

I'd be happy to have colonized you. 15th century works for me.
