Bloodlines: Zveri, Brujah, Gangrel Type: Passive, Physical Origins: Antomovism is a strange discipline possessed by the original Zveri, Dmitri Antomov. He did not create nor develop the discipline over time, rather it was an ability inherent to him due to the strange nature of his own embrace and the experiments performed upon him. Over the years the discipline has been shared by only a few other Zveri and there are rumours that young Brujah and Gangrel childer who have fallen in with Zveri packs, have also been able to pick up the discipline. Acquisition: Unless a kindred is a Zveri Antomovism must be taught and does not develop naturally. Zveri may spend points on Antomovism as soon as they reach two dots each in Celerity, Fortitude and Potence just as though it were normal discipline and need not spend additional points on acquiring an additional discipline. Description: Antomovism is an advanced form of Fortitude which allows the kindred to transcend normal bodily limitations; broken bones, torn flesh and snapped tendons mean nothing to a kindred who has developed this discipline. It also provides a number of much more specific passive traits beyond the normal reach of Fortitude which make any kindred with Antomovism a fearsome opponent indeed.
FAQs Q: If all of the flesh is removed from a kindred's body, does Antomovism allow them to continue functioning as a skeleton. A: No, in order to remove all of the flesh (muscle and skin) you would kill them in the process. Q: What if I only removed the flesh from one part of the body? A: As much of the body as remains attached to core would continue to function as normal. Without flesh and sinews to hold it together skeletal structures will fall off. Q: What if I remove part of the body? A: The removed bodypart dies (crumbles to ash, rapidly putrifies etc) however the kindred can regenerate lost limbs over time. Q: What if I remove the head? A: Fatal injuries still kill the kindred. Q: What happens if I break the spine or interrupt the nervous system? A: Nothing, and kindred with at least one dot in Antomovism becomes a supernaturally animated body; they no longer need the use of a nervous system. Q: If I break enough bones or do enough damage to cause disfiguring injury what happens? A: The damage is still sustained however the kindred's body will automatically pull itself back into its natural configuration provided the kindred has enough dots to cover the injuries sustained. Q: So if I break the bones of a kindred with one dot in Antomovism what happens? A: They're affected as normal, the kindred's body can only ignore and retain its shape and function against injuries of the nature stated. Q: Does the kindred still feel pain from these injuries? A: Yes, this discipline does not affect their ability to feel pain, in fact a drawback is that even were their nervous system to be disabled it would still function. Q: What if I nearly dismember a limb, so that only a thin strip of skin holds it on? A: Unless you completely sever the limb it will remain in place PROVIDED they have a sufficient level of dots. Q: Do you still lose blood as a result of serious injuries? A: Yes! Antomovism does not directly affect blood loss. Q: Does Antamovism allow wounds to heal more quickly. A: Yes and no. It doesn't actively heal any injuries, however because it holds the body together in its correct shape it does allow proper healing to occur without the need for setting bones and the like. Q: So if I embed something into their flesh does that disrupt them? A: Yes and no. Unless the weapon completely severs a body part but remains embedded then that's that. Additionally if the kindred were to be impaled, on a rail spike for example, the injury itself would not impede movement but the fact that a long spike is sticking out of them would. Q: So if I use a harpoon gun or crossbow would the projectiles remain stuck in the body? A: Yes; provided that the projectiles find purchase and embed themselves they will remain in place unless removed by some other means. Antomovism does not push bolts, spears or bullets etc out of the body. Q: What if I cut the kindred's head in half, down the middle? A: That's a good question; Kindred with 4 dots or more in Antamovism can survive this unimpeded as their head holds itself together. However those with fewer dots would be unable to keep their head together save by holding it in place, making the wound potentially fatal. Q: Do cumulative injuries wear the kindred down? A: Yes and no. Injuries sustained which Antamovism does not cover do work just as normal; however multiple broken bones, slashed ligaments or torn flesh wounds will not cumulatively wear down the kindred. They still suffer the loss of health and blood as normal, and must heal these injuries in the long run but they can keep on going and going and going until they either run out of blood or are destroyed. Q: Do the usual methods of killing or incapacitating a kindred still apply? A: Decapitation, Fire and Sunlight all work just fine. Stake through the heart, removing or otherwise destroying the heart likewise. So cook them, light them up or blow them up just to be safe! Q: Does Antamovism make the kindred immune to Vicissitude? A: No. On a minor level it gives them greater resistance against it when it is used by neonates, but any experienced wielder of the discipline will be able to act unhindered because the discipline alters the body's 'design'.
