He had a feeling his boss was some higher up demon. He sounded scary. Maya hoped he never met this person. He didn’t sense any other demons around so, hopefully, he’d be okay. “You shouldn’t hide yourself from people. I like meeting new people because you never know when you’ll find a good friend.” Maya hoped that he could cheer up this demon. He looked so stressed. “I guess I am.” He beamed. “I like making people smile. I find I am drawn to people who need to be cheered up. Sometimes, people just need that someone to talk to and they feel a lot better about things. I guess I’m that person. I don’t mind it. Plus, I like hearing their stories and I find that it’s easy to say the right thing to make them smile.” |

"I don't think you'd really understand. I prefer to keep to myself." Aiji said with a shrug as he listened to the angel. Maya seemed nice and all, but he couldn't really seem to trust anyone, and he was very sure he couldn't trust an angel, the other could kill him right here right now if he wanted. He would put up a fight, though. "You seem to have a knack for making people smile, though." Aiji said as he gave Maya a soft smile. He always kept to himself, but Maya seemed to be slowly pulling him out of that shell. He didn't know why he was so trusting of this angel, but he chalked it up to not being attacked yet. "Well, I like hearing stories and being around people, so... how about we meet here often? Who knows... I might actually open up to you one of these days." Aiji said with a soft chuckle and gave Maya a warm smile. |

Aiji’s smile lit up the room. Maya couldn’t help but return the smile with one of his own. It made him feel so much better to know that he made the demon smile. He looked awfully attractive with that smile on his lips. Maya knew he should never trust a demon, but he really did look like he just needed someone to talk to, someone to trust. Maya could definitely be that person. He wouldn’t hurt him. If he could make him be good, than that would be better, right? “That would be great!” He said. “This is a very nice place to meet. I’m here all the time. I’d be glad to listen to your stories about your nasty boss.” |

Aiji chuckled and sat back in his seat. Maya seemed pretty easy to open up to, but he wasn't willing or even ready to open up to anyone. With a soft sigh, he sat his drink down and gave a thoughtful hum. Perhaps he could get some information from this angel that would benefit him... "Well, how about, if I share something about myself on a visit, then the next visit, you have to tell me about yourself. Agreed?" Aiji asked, hoping the angel wouldn't see through him. Maya seemed naive, though. And as much as Aiji didn't like messing with people, he knew he needed information on the angels to show Zero that he could be a good asset to the demons. It was all he had now and he wanted to save himself from the wrath of the ruthless demon. |

Aiji was very cute and very easy to talk to. Maya felt himself loosening up the more he was around him and he wanted to keep him there. Even though he was a demon, it didn’t matter. He could feel that there was something good about him. Something that Maya could bring out that could make him different and good. “Okay.” He agreed. He wouldn’t mind sharing more about himself in exchange for learning more about Aiji. It meant more visits with the demon and he was very excited about that. A real friend, maybe. Maya was thrilled at the prospect. So what if he was a demon? Maybe they all just needed to forget the war and just be people. "I'm here almost every afternoon. I'm sure you'll run into me." He smiled, hoping the demon would. |

Aiji liked the sound of that, it was just what he needed to forget about this ageless war that they were fighting. He was so tired of fighting and trying to prove himself to Zero, he was tired of trying to appease other people instead of finding his own happiness. "That sounds perfect. So... maybe once or twice a week we'll meet here in the afternoon? I'll be here reading a manga, like you saw me in here before." He said with a soft smile as he finished his tea. He really didn't want to go, but he knew Zero would probably be very pissed if he was late for his report in. This was something he would leave out on his report, he didn't want the other to find out about Maya. |

"I'll see you then!" He smiled, giggling as Aiji walked off with his manga. Maya was on top of the world. Had he made friends with a demon? This was huge. Just to make a friend at all. Time would tell if the demon would return to the cafe, but Maya would be there, every afternoon. He wanted to get to know Aiji more and he really liked his smile. The demon looked very burdened with troubles and Maya wanted to help him, if he could. He could always be that shoulder to cry on, if need be. But he could also make him laugh. Aiji had a very cute smile. Maya couldn't wait until they met again. |
