Kamijo made his way to earth, sadly realizing this might be his last visit. Tears glistened his eyes as he landed on the front lawn of his son’s home. This may be the last time he sees Karyu. He was granted the opportunity to check in on his progress in the Seeing Lake and was pleased to see that Karyu had been doing so well. He had left his promiscuous ways behind him and had become truly good. He was spreading joy and happiness and was learning his powers. Karyu was becoming stronger every day. Surprisingly, the demon that was helping him was purely good, abandoning his path of darkness to help Karyu in any way. Kamijo didn’t fear for his son when the demon protected him. It was the best kind of protection he could think of. Yoshiki might not agree, though.

He was on earth to fix what he had done. To lift the curse of blindness he had given to his son. Kamijo walked up to the door, sensing his son and demon companion inside the house. He knocked, hoping there was no resentment for his actions. From all that he had currently been through, he couldn’t bear to see hate in his son’s eyes. This needed to be done, though. He’d take the hate, if it was all he’d be given.

Karyu and J had been playing on their instruments, Karyu on his guitar and J on the bass. They were having a relaxing day for once. Lately, though, his back had been hurting him. His foster father had told him, too, that he was looking even more radiant than normal. He didn't understand why, nor could he see it either, but he didn't worry over it. He was adjusting well to being blind, and he was actually thanking his real father for taking his sight to show him the way.

The doorbell went off, so Karyu got up and with J following him, went to the front door to answer it. He pulled the door open and gave a smile to whoever was standing there. Karyu had hoped that J could tell him who it was, but he could sense something different about this person. They weren't human, having learned how to sense demons and angels, but it wasn't a very powerful being either.

"Hello? How can I help you?"

He asked, waiting for a response from either the person at the door or from J to tell him who the person or being was at the door.

Karyu answered the door, with J in tow. Kamijo just looked at him for a moment, taking in his radiance. He was so beautiful. J was stunned to see him, Kamijo could tell. The former Brightlord reached out and gently took Karyu’s face in his hands. He closed his eyes, tears gently falling, and willed the last of his great archangel power into him to restore his sight. Kamijo let out a shuddering gasp as he felt himself grow weak. He was just a mere angel now. He fell back against the doorway, J reaching out to help keep him on his feet.

“My son…” He said, smiling weakly. “You are whole again. Forgive me for taking your sight.”

Karyu gasped as he was suddenly given sight. His eyes adjusted and he saw his father leaning against the doorway. Moving in to hold the other close, he wrapped the other's arm around his shoulder and helped support him, bringing him back into the living room.

"Father... what happened to you? You... you seem so different now..."

He said with a frown as he helped the other sit down before sitting down next to him.

"Thank you for giving my sight back. I should thank you for taking it away as well, it has helped me learn a lot."

Karyu looked to J, hoping the other would go get Kamijo some water while he made sure his father was alright.

Kamijo smiled at the kind words. Karyu didn’t hate him. It made his heart swell with joy to know it. They took him to a couch and he sat, trying to catch his breath. The demon appeared with a glass of water and Kamijo gratefully took it, downing the liquid. It was refreshing and he was surprised at how it helped. He never needed sustenance on earth before. He really had lost his powers, after all.

“Karyu, I… I’ve made too many mistakes.” He started. “I’ve been removed from my position, demoted to the lowest rank of angel. I’ve only been sent here so I can fix what I broke, to give you back your sight. You have grown into such a beautiful young man. I…I am proud of you.”
