Reality: Denied

Welcome to the Java lounge, a place where you can hang out and talk about whatever your hearts desire. To put it simply, the conversations from the "Last to post win" game I would like to be placed and keep here, and have the topic over there be back to the game it always was. So Sit down, chill out, and have a nice cup of Java. |

To be totally honest I have no idea if I'm going to go to a college or university to continue on a path of "Higher Learning." Fact is Highschool really didn't teach me anything I didn't already know on some level or another. As of right now I see no point in wasting money on something I'm not even sure I have the motivation to want to finish or, worse, I do finish it only to find that my degree is absolutely worthless because there are no jobs hiring for it. For now and in the foreseeable future I'm going to try to become an author. |

Well, I have time to decide, but I think I'll go for Computer Sciences. I'm granted to have at least a decent job, and I don't even have to finish it. It's going to take me 10 years if I'm lucky, though. |

Yeah, degrees always seem to take a great amount of time. 10 years to get a decent one, and at least another 5-10 to get enough job experience to get a high-paying job. The best way to handle any situation is to make as many contacts as possible while you're doing your studies. Connections are more important than hardwork in this world, unfortunately. |

Well, of course, you'll probably meet a guy that knows another guy that can get you a job. You just have to take every opportunity you get at least until you graduate. |

Good, you're ahead of the game. I've seen a lot of good folk get rubbish while lazy slackers with friends get paid the big bucks, just because of bullshit like that. Also I think I just annoyed the hell out of myself for thinking about that bullshit. |

Ha, I have my brother as an example. He got it way easier because my dad works in First Data. After a couple of years of experience in a call center, he now has a job at a bank. I hope he gets back to studying as well now that he has a better job. |

My dad is like a slave that works in a basement. You just need people to guide you. |
