Welcome to the Java lounge, a place where you can hang out and talk about whatever your hearts desire. To put it simply, the conversations from the "Last to post win" game I would like to be placed and keep here, and have the topic over there be back to the game it always was.

So Sit down, chill out, and have a nice cup of Java.

Ash is supposed to be Red, though after awhile he turned out nothing like Red.

As far as I know, Red is a superhuman that doesn't talk, eat, drink or sleep. That's why people hate Ash.

I used to like Ash but after the 3rd or so season of the show I just said fug it. He never changes and he never wins, what's the point of watching a show that goes over the same exact plots over and over and over and over and over and over and over again?

He never wins? He shouldn't always win, but come on.

If Ash won a league it would end the show.

That's debatable. Seeing as how the entire show is Ash wanting to be a Pokemon master I can easily see a good story about his trials. Start him off as an idiot kid have him lose the first few leagues at most. Then have him eventually win one, but here's the catch, even after winning a league he still feels he has a long way to go until he becomes the very best like no one ever was. The rest of the show could be about him slowly growing up, winning and losing, traveling the world to test his skills. Eventually he feels content and decides to become a gym leader. He slowly becomes one of the greatest gym leaders of all time and gains a reputation as being unbeatable. Then one day the unthinkable happens and a new upstart rookie defeats him. This gives him a shock that there are still plenty of trainers out there that are better than him and he decides to leave his gym and resume his travels.

That's enough material right there to keep a show going for at least 6 seasons. Or you can do it Kamen Rider style and use a different rookie trainer for each season. I think the main reason that they choose to keep Ash in this same rut is due to lazy and unimaginative writers.

Actually, any writer could pull what you said out of his ass. I really don't get why they didn't went for it.

Because why write something interesting when you can make millions by recycling your old scripts.
Also I would love to change the subject but I have no idea what else to talk about.
