Hello there all you strangers of the Internet! Well, hopefully not strangers for long I hope. I guess I should introduce myself too, I'm Chris, both my real name and forum name. (I decided not to use an Alias here because of how small the player base is at the moment.) I've been on and off as a forum roleplayer since... god, late middle school? Which was... 14 years ago... Suddenly I feel really, really old... ANYWAYS! I suppose you can say that the creative juices have been flowing in me and I needed an outlet so one trip to RPG Directory and I found myself here! I notice that this game seems to have a number from Shin Hyakuji High School but I hope that isn't an issue. No offense to the admin or anyone else here, I tried joining a couple of years ago and got flak in the Chatango box for the idea of an Audiomancer (An Aeromancer with the ability to manipulate both sound waves as well as being a living, breathing Theme Music Power Up for the other characters there) and decided it was filled with too many immature kiddos to continue there. And besides, I've preferred a small group of roleplayers than the hundreds that Shin Hyakuji has gotten (though all power to them to have a roleplaying forum up for so long). Anyways, I was hoping to ask the Admins (Mayu and Fin, if I'm correct) if it was okay if I were to play one of the few surviving members of the Vaux Family. I'm fully aware that in the rules it states that your first character should be a new recruit in the Lecross Liberation Force so he wouldn't be a commanding officer but the way I see it, due to the fact that the Vaux's power is all but gone due to the take-over by the Erebonian Empire, the character would have to fight his way back into power once more by starting on the ground level. |

Hello Chris! Welcome to the board, and thank you for registering! Good to see a new face and a long term role player joining the boards! I am sorry to hear about your experience with Hyakuji, and hope that your experience here proves to be far more positive! As for your question, there is no problem having a character of the Vaux Family. The only people that are really off limits entirely would be the head (because he's dead), his daughter (because she's missing), and the Vaux Regional Police Commander (Missing/Dead). The head also didn't have any other child, which is why there isn't a new head yet. Outside of that, you're free to, for example, make the son/daughter of the head's brother/sister. I hope that answers your question sufficiently. If you have any more, feel free to ask here, or in the chatbox. |

Mayu: Heh, well, so much for my first idea. Was planing on playing the head of the Vaux Family's son but this is still workable for me and sort of explains the Empire's continued holding on the North. So okay then, Cousins it is then! Intrigued to see where Vaux "princess" has disappeared to? In hiding like my character? Kidnapped by the Empire (and for what purpose, as a figurehead?) Seeking revenge and quietly building up an army of her own to rival the Liberation Force? I can't wait to see!

Well, I guess I have one thing I need... well, actually multiple of the same thing, really. Because my character history is going to involve what I'm guessing is either a number of NPC characters, I'm going to actually have to get their names, not just Head of Vaux Family and Vaux Regional Police Commander. I mean, it would be weird being family with these people but having no names to call them by. So I'm guessing what I'm asking is, have you and Fin thought of names for them already or should I do the honor of naming them in my character history? |

They have both already been named. The previous head of the Vaux Family was Raphael Vaux, and the Commander of the now defunct Vaux Regional Police was Lucas Piet. |

And the Heiress of the Vaux Family? Sorry if this is too many questions, if there's a place where their names are already, you can just point it to me on the forum. |

The name of the family heads can all be found on the organisation page for the Three Great Noble Families whereas Blanc's profile has a few names dropped in such as the Vaux Regional Police Commander. I will link the pages are the end of this post. The heiress to the Vaux Family hasn't had her name written down anywhere yet, so I will just make one here. Colette Vaux should be fine as the name of the Vaux Family head. I'll also include some information about their characters since I can't recall writing their personalities anywhere. Colette Vaux, as the only child of Raphael Vaux, was very much brought up with everything, and very few people, even within the Vaux branch families, would have actually met her. On the few occasions anyone would get to meet her, she would largely keep to herself or her father. Raphael Vaux was the most influential person in the Kingdom prior to the fall of Vaux. Very charismatic and liked by almost everyone. Talented from everything from swordsmanship to economics. The only noble of the Three Great Noble Families to openly support equality between the nobility and commoners. Strongly hated by the Orand Family. Lucas Piet, unlikely Raphael, was more introvert, but fiercely loyal to the Vaux Family and the Vaux Region. The Piet family are nobles related to the Vaux family, sharing the same blood. Lucas Piet was renown as one of the strongest in the entire Kingdom, and was trusted enough to even be taught sword style that has only been passed down from head to head of the Vaux Family, making him the only person in history to not be the head of the Vaux Family with that sword art. A workaholic who used every second as efficiently as possible. Thanks so much for all this information Mayu! I think I might have made the best character in my entire writing career... or would this be called a career? Well, at least it inspired me to do some of my best writing in quite a while! |
