Alright, this is a review of the ps2 version, but they're all exactly the same.

Story:8/10
It's not terribly complex, but how it's presented is what makes it so great. You play as Jade, who, along with her uncle Pey'j takes care of kids orphaned due to the ongoing war between their planet and the Domz, an evil alien race. Jade supports the kids via freelance photography, accepting paid missions. She eventually gets mixed up with a group attempting to prove a big conspiracy with the planet's government.

Graphics:8/10
Above average for the ps2, and all the environments look beautiful and peaceful/creepy when needed.

Audio:10/10
Perfect. Just like that. This is one of my favorite video game soundtracks of all time.

Gameplay:9/10
The game alternates between 4 different styles. Sometimes you'll be making your way through areas by force, by stealth, and other times by solving various puzzles and such. You travel via a hovercraft, and several times you'll have to battle with the hovercraft. Progressing through the game you'll have to collect pearls, which you can use to upgrade the hovercraft and gain access to the next area in the game, similar to the deal with most 3D platformers, where you collect an item (stars, eggs) to unlock new levels and such. When on land, as said before, the other 3 styles are stealth, puzzle solving and action. Combat is pretty simple, but this also works at making it more challenging. You have a standard 3 hit combo, and a few other combos you'll have to figure out yourself by attacking with the right timing. You can do quicksteps back and to the side to avoid attacks, which is used a LOT during bosses, and can mean life and death. Stealth isn't nearly as complex as something like splinter cell or MGS, but it works and it can still be very fun. The puzzle solving stumped me a few times and is almost always well done. Bottom line, this game isn't great just because of each thing on its own, but because of how it seamlessly blends them together to create something amazing.

Replayability:8/10
There's a decent amount of minigames and challenges to get more pearls. There's also a side mission where Jade earns money for taking pictures of the wildlife on the planet.

This is easily my favorite game last gen, and probably one of my top 5 of all time.
Soooooo....
Warning, stay away from this game if you:
Are expecting Zelda (I dub this Okami-complex)
Hate Masterpieces
Have Swine flu. Get some sleep ya bum!

9/10
