Monkey Ball Banana Blitz Sound 9/10 Aside from the few childish monkey noises and completely stupid opening in the Wii menu the Music and Sound in this game are just awesome! The Music and sounds fit the game perfectly and are really good too. I just wish they would of changed the stupid opening in the Wii menu<_< (Ya its that bad!). Graphics 9/10 The visuals of this game are really good. The levels are very colorful and there is actually scenery in the levels now instead of dull platforms. The graphics aren't the best but they are the best I have seen from a Monkey Ball Game. Story 2/10 Well... If you get games for their deep and captivating story lines, don't even touch this one. The whole story is a bunch of gold bananas were taken by some pirate monkey and thats it folks. But you don't really get Monkey Ball games for their story. Game play 7/10 The tilting of the Wii remote to move your monkey is fun but it takes a little getting used too. You just tilt the remote to move and press a to jump. At first you are going to suck but just give it a while and it is just as good as the analog stick. Their are some issues with the camera as well but it is not too bad. Overall the controls are decent but they could have been better. Single Player 8/10 Probably the higher point of the game. Make your way through about 100 levels and battle a boss every world you complete which is about every ten levels or so. It is pretty fun but it does get pretty difficult in the higher levels. You also have 50 mini games to play but almost all of them are no fun to play by yourself. Multi player 5.5/10 Mini games galore! But are they fun? Well some of them are. About twenty of them are crap, about 20 are fun but get old pretty fast, and there are about 5 or 10 that will keep your attention for at least a little while. There are a lot of mini games to play but they definitely focused on quantity instead of quality. And the biggest disappointment is the lack of challenge mode where you can go through the single player in a hot seat mode with your friends. All the levels are limited to single player. But there are a lot of mini-games to try out with friends. You will just have to go through and pick the ones you like, Length 6.5/10 The games length is decent. It only takes a few hours to beat all the worlds. Maybe more if you have trouble with the last few worlds (I know I did). After you complete the game, the goal is to try and beat each world without getting a game over and continuing (good luck!). If you manage to do so, supposedly you unlock a secret world but I have not managed to do it. You also have a bunch of games to play as I mentioned earlier, so if you like this game it should at least keep you busy for 10+ hours and much more if you and your friends find games you really like (There are definitely some good ones in there). I only recommend getting this game now if you are a Super Monkey Ball fan like me. If not I would wait until this game comes down to like 20 or 30 bucks. (I got it for $25 on eBay ) Overall I think this game deserves a 7.5/10. I hope you liked my review of Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz. |
