"Down Hill Jam Wii Is Better Than DS"

Tony Hawk's Down Hill Jam is about skating downhill fast, while busting of tricks for alot of points. One who bought the Nintendo DS version will most likely be anxious about buying this. They are almost entirely different. The only thing in common is that four or five locations may be the same.

Story: three out of ten
If you are buying this game for the story, then I suggest you do not buy this. You will be disappointed! The story just Tony Hawk throwing a downhill tournament. There isn't much too it really.

Game play: nine out of ten
If you are playing for the actual game play, not the story, then you will not be disappointed. There are quite a bit of event challenges in here. There is your standard race, which is self-explanatory. You have Slalom races, in which you must make it to the end with as much time left, but you have a small amount of times; you must go through Slalom gates to increase the amount of time left. There is the score attack, where you must finish the course with as much points you can muster. And there is the elimination race where the person in last place is eliminated.

Sound: eight out of ten
The voices and the music are very clear. Though some of the sound affects are annoying.

Graphics: nine out of ten
Everything is very clear and looks awesome. Sure it isn't up to the Standards of say the XBox360 and the PS3, but the Wii is suppose to be about innovated controls, not the graphics. You should have no problem seeing things in the game.

Controls: eight out of ten
This game uses the wii remote and the wii remote alone. You hold the 2 button under you right thumb and the A button under your left thumb. You hold the wii remote horizontally. You tilt the remote to turn, hold 2 to crouch to gain speed and jump, and the A button to brake. It's fairly easy.

With that being said I give this game an eight out of ten. I doubt you will be disappointed by this game.
