Favorite Memories of the Generation?

With the PS4 and XBOne releasing in the coming weeks, I thought it would be fitting to list some of our favorite memories/games/whatever of the current gen.

For me, I remember sleeping over at my friend Ben's house and playing the Wii for the first time. We played Wii Sports and Twilight Princess all night and I was amazed. I fucking loved Wii Sports so much

Another moment was when I played Guitar Hero 3 at my cousins' house and being completely shocked at how much I liked it. Music games in general really spoke to me this gen (GH3, Rock Band 2, DJ Hero, all of those were fantastic)

Super Smash Bros Brawl and everything that went along with it. Everyday before school I would check in here because someone would post what had been posted earlier on Smash Dojo. I don't think I will ever be that excited for a game ever again. I still play it regularly with friends.

Finally, just online games in general. From Call of Duty to Madden, to Mario Kart, this generation I spent a LOT of time playing games online with friends or with randoms. Super cool

I think Smash Dojo was easily my fondest memory this generation. I'd either stay up late or wake up early to check out the update, depending on the day. It was awesome when Sonic was announced, and it was bittersweet when the Bumper item was shown off. It was the thrill of wondering what'd be shown next, an item? A stage? A CHARACTER!? Shit got intense. And the game easily lived up to the hype.

They've scaled the hype back for the Wii U/3DS version heavily but every so often they do updates on Miiverse showing off characters that are returning like Marth, so my excitement won't be as strong till the game launches, which is kind of a shame.

Also, can't deny how cool Mario Strikers Charged was. Even if it wasn't the best Wii game, or online game its what brought most of us together and that alone makes it a legit memory.
