I took Eukwenn, Chukk, and Fincin out to see Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Seriously. Here are the pics: The little cabin in the woods: ![]() If you look carefully, you'll see all three bears, represented as: Papa Bear = Hostile Hill-Bear Mama Bear = Mature Hill-Bear Baby Bear = Wood-Bear Cub ![]() Let's go inside, shall we? Note the three bowls of porridge on the table: ![]() Then, there's the three chairs at the fireplace: ![]() And finally, to prove that this is NOT just coincidence, the three beds, including a little sleeping blonde girl on the far one: ![]() Apparently, there are tons of these easter eggs in game. We should organize a night or two and go out and find them. One final thing... Here's a lawn gnome in front of the house. Can anyone place the symbolism?

According to the lore, Fastitocalon is the last of the mighty turtle-fish. A poem, well-known to the Hobbits, tells of how Fastitocalon's huge size enticed sailors to land on its back. After the sailors lit a fire upon Fastitocalon, it dove underwater, causing the sailors to drown.
Leave it to the turbine folks to find a way to work in even the most obscure pieces of lore into the game. Behold, Fastitocalon: ![]() ![]() And of course, the four of us (Eukwenn, Chukkato, Fincin and myself) did epic battle with this massive beast (all 2,679,864 health of it!) and slew it. Finally. I think it took us about 15 minutes. ![]() What did it drop? 3 Iron coins. Total. And Chukk got them. Ah well... the fight was fun! |

LOL. Yep, right there under the turtle. There I am attacking it as Abby takes pictures. That gives you an idea of the scale. I was standing right in the middle underneath it. |

...wow... When I saw the first pic, I didn't even see the turtle. I just thought: What's Eukwen doing on the other side of that odd tunnel there... Then my vision zoomed out. LOL |

Oh that's right! I didn't screenie it though. There are three squirrel factions at war with each other. The Red Squirrels (we happened upon these cute little fluffies scurrying around an abandoned croft), the Grey Squirrels, and the Black Squirrels. It's pretty funny. |

Perhaps the Garden Gnome is related to Sweedish folk lore? Though I thought that the garden gnome was simply a marketing technique item created by a frenchman or american? not sure on all that but...hmmmm, got me thinking. Nice pics! Also, on the big Turtle, check out this little snippit of Lore! ![]() Lotr Lore of the Turtle-fish . Edited by Skoch, Jun 30 2014, 02:50 AM.
