After spending most of last night and the better part of today unable to read various chat channels (as in, ALL of them except /say, /emote, /tell), suddenly it came back to life tonight. Alas, the celebration was short-live. The chat bug returned. In the process of uninstalling the client, and letting it reinstall/update/whatever overnight. Here's hoping THAT works, because this is whole mess is making for one grumpy Erey! |

Be patient Miss Erey. My guess is they know about it and have a update coming very soon. As for the lyrical bug. Move the 2.2 folder back out. Put 2.0 back in. Go into game and load lyrical and if all goes well up to that point, then start making note pad copies of all your songs. If you get that done, get with me and we will start all over and see if there is any way to get 2.2 back up and running for you. ~bunnyhugs~

I am running out of my reserve of patient. The end stages of the move are getting to me. The not knowing exactly where everything is, is getting to me. The bugs of Turbine are getting to me, started with the persistent chat bug Wed night, Thurs, and part of Friday... and now having Lyrcal not working on top of it... well, you and the others in RC heard me last night. That was a bit out of the norm for me. :/ When I have a chance to rest and get at it with a fresh mindset, I'll get with you--either later tonight, or more likely, tomorrow afternoon. *hugses* |

I have been trying to get chat channels back in order, and after finding several possible fixes, I was finally given THE fix. To anyone else who may have a similar bug, I offer the following: - Update video card & sound card drivers - Update Java - Update shockwave flash (and any other updates I may have forgotten about) If that doesn't work, follow the instructions on the link here: http://support.turbine.com/link/portal/24001/24001/Article/568/-Error-There-was-an-error-communicating-to-the-chat-server-Please-try-again-shortly-General-Error-0x00000003 My problem seemed to be that my Port # was not set correctly.. I don't know whether it was somehow reset with the move or with something of the update. I still did bug reports while all of it was going on, but never heard back from Turbine. Thanks goes to Miss Fionwyn for offering the link, and also to everyone who tried to keep me sane while the problem was persisting. *HUGSES* |
