At least I received a response from someone...although not exactly what I wanted to hear. I replied to it and we'll see if that gets any kind of rational response. I just can't see how they can think that he's not interfering or harassing people if multiple reports are coming in from so many different folks. |

Passive griefing is still griefing, and it's hoped Turbine realises that very soon |

Just an FYI - I had reported this same group when they blocked Animal House, then moved over to BBB to block them. My ticket stated that they had clear intentions of blocking the audience, as the moved where the crowd moved. I was told in that ticket that it was not harassment, and I could be disciplined for 'abuse of the ticket system'. |

It isn't passive, though. It's the equivalent of playing the "I'm not touching you" game. It's really asinine. It's like if I placed my hand inches from a coworker's naughty bits and management said it wasn't sexual harassment because I'm not actually doing anything. And my hand has every right to occupy that space because if my coworker was somewhere else, no one would object to the placement of my hand. It's completely devoid of all context. God, this whole thing has me sounding like a whiny hippie. And I think that is ticking me off more than anything else. It really is probably the /worst/ rules adjudication since Plessy v. Ferguson. Oh, it's just I can only imagine that's how the GMs are splitting the difference, and you are exactly right Lifi. We know the horses are actively parked where they are to cause distress, Turbine/the GMs just need to realise and accept it too. And most importantly, act on it to stop it. |

While there are plenty of reasons to really loathe the ruling of (and our treatment from) the GMs... I keep going back to the fact that this sort of thing was not tolerated in the not-so-distant past. They DID remove or at least warn trolls using this sort of thing. So, what changed to cause them to "reverse" policy? It might be helpful to find/figure that out. Our problem currently is that we have no "grip" on the issue. If we knew why they did what they did, it gives us something specific to attack. Or defend from, as the case may very well be. |

I've made a lengthy response on the forum as have many others. Hopefully enough notice has been taken to implement some change . See yas at Horrorfest! |

I think it would be a good idea to try and capture fraps of the Griefer moving to re-block the same band. I would happily lead a quartet in a dance around Prancing Pony Locations and Politely ask the eejet to stop following and blocking my performance. I would be just as happy to be audience and send in multiple tickets if needed. They can ban me and I will write a nice article about it on Lotroplayers and send a copy to Massivly too! I think if they are not seen to reverse this policy I may not make events as often as I plan too, and I will not be giving them any money. |

Yeah, Lilikate. I made a more detailed suggestion on the FB group thing about the sting op. I think it could be effective if done right. The other recourse is to get all the major bands that do weeklys to just be on the ready to perform the troll two-step and have FRAPsers/Streamers at the ready at them. Rather than try to bait with a "super special awesome" performance, which was my first inclination. Also, I think the bad press route honestly has the best chance at efficacy. And if we can get a starter article going on LOTRO Players that is written in a straight up, AP Style, gumshoe way (I.E. - non-opinion), then I think I can attempt to use my wiles to poke some gaming press to cover it more extensively. Though admittedly I've not had to interface with the gaming press ever. |
