A question to our audience and friends. Les Beaux Chapeaux has considered making it easier for our fans to see us and possibly attract more, by moving their show location. We have considered Bree and the Shire as possible new locations to perform in. First however, we want to know what you lads and lasses think. |

I am all for trying something new. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. If things don't work out, we can always go back to the kin-house. Being concerned about griefers is a valid point. But *F%$^* them! I don't like the idea of making decisions based off what *might* happen in that regard. |

I'd like to see what an exploratory period of a few weeks looks like. If folks find it easier to attend and we see a noticeable increase in attendance, then we should consider making it permanent. If things are samey-samey over a few weeks, then I see no need to disrupt the status quo. And I share Fionwyn's sentiment about griefers. I don't think the potential is enough to nix the idea of trying it out on a probationary basis. But certainly something to factor in whether to continue it or not if it becomes a problem. |

having my house in the Shire the concerts are easy for me to attend, just port home & change neighbourhood if I am elsewhere when I log on. Having them closer to a stable would probably make them easier for others to attend, but as the others have said the only real way to test the theory is to... well, test it, give it a go! Griefing issue does seem to have gone down so I don't see a need to take them into consideration |

Do a show every few weeks in Bree/Shire and see what happens? |

I haven't been a member very long so my opinion may not carry much weight but I'm for a try it out approach over the course of a few shows... One of the things that made it wonderful playing a concert at an LBC show was the fact that we were being invited to the LBC kinhouse which felt like being invited into your home...a sense of family...and wanting to try to be your very best because you were invited and welcomed into that home... That is the the best and the scariest feeling of all and I sure would hate to loose that forever... |

How about this, why not do our show as its always been, and once a month, do a special Friday jam in Bree or the Shire. Is this something the band could handle? |

I really like that idea, Fin. Kind of like the best of both worlds. |

It sounds cool to me...I hope you understand where I was coming from with my comment...I would never want to lose the feeling of "special" that comes with the LBC kinhouse setting...Even if you swapped a Sunday show at the kinhouse with a concert in Bree once a month that could work too...What do I know...I'm just a wishy-washy grumpy old dwarf...

That was a good perspective Weets. It brought that back for me as well. Just cause you're a grumpy old dwarf, doesn't mean your'e not nice, sometimes.... lolol. I like that idea as well Fincin. Similar to what I had in mind, only better. |
