Shroud of the Avatar Release 17 goes live 4/30/2015. As you may know, I had the good fortune to meet a leader of the Pax et Veritas Guild and be invited to join. This is *one* guild within the larger PaxLair community. PaxLair has existed for 17 years in Ultima Online. They bring the same level of commitment to SoTA. The PaxLair community is multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, with people from all ages, all walks of life and from all over the world. Here is a link in case you're interested in knowing more: http://sotawiki.net/sota/Community:PaxLair People within PaxLair have worked closely with the devs to implement the first Player Owned Town to be released in the game. This is a huge deal for the SoTA community as a whole. The implementation of the first PoT sets the wheels in motion for the other PoTs to be brought into the game. The vision of PaxLair is that whatever they do, it will ultimately be of benefit to the community as a whole. So the work they have done in helping to design exactly how PoTs will be implemented going forward is vital. They are not in this for themselves, to make money or to benefit in ways that others cannot. The PaxLair community, which I am how a part of, are invested in SoTA with a view toward building up the SoTA community as a whole. Below you will find a link that contains some information for upcoming events. Keep in mind that the map you see is just the first part of FIVE areas that will be a part of the PaxLair PoT metropolis https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/forum/index.php?threads/paxlair-pot-roll-out-plan-for-r17-events-news-housing-open-to-communities.24181/ Now I know you folks want MUSIC. Well, SoTA wants it too. As a matter of fact, PaxLair does not currently have any *musicians*. They want people from LoTRO who already know how to transcribe .abc and are familiar with playing in a band to join. Musicians are needed! I know this for a fact because I was speaking with my guild leader Themo Lock last night and he is very excited to be able to welcome any of my LoTRO frends into the Pax et Veritas guild and the PaxLair town. One thing to keep in mind is that they are of *good* alignment and that is the kind of RPer they are looking for. In any case, I will keep my reports coming. Edited by Fionwyn, Apr 28 2015, 12:19 AM.

I hope for the best for SoTA. I'll be reading your updates to see if there will be a serious ensemble music system developed. |
