Yeah, I'm with Rougey on this one. JC2 was more a toybox than a game, and it was better for it. Oh, and GOTY so far? Bayonetta.[/quote I'm disappointed Jason... For a whole year i have been hearing you talk up Red Dead Redemption, saying you think it will be GOTY, and lo and behold, i see your pick is now Bayonetta!! To each his own i guess, but so far for me, Red Dead Redemption is right up the top... Other than that, the following: Darksiders God of War 3 Assassin's Creed 2 Just Cause 2 Bioshock 2 GTA - Ballad of Gay Tony i also cannot wait for Castlevania, i remember playing it on the Gameboy yonks ago, and even enjoyed the previous gen ones. Haven't tried Heavy Rain, Alan Wake, SSF4 or Yakuza yet. I'm tipping Gran Turismo 5 will be up there. Edited by pablo, May 26 2010, 12:05 AM.

Can I keep the Uum?

Yeah, I would have thought so too. But even Alan Wake was a better game IMO... |

After playing this more I understand what all the hype is about. One of the best storyline/gameplay combos I have ever encountered however I just can't get past all the fucking product placement. Surely these big titles are making enough money? I ACTUALLY GOT AN ACHIEVMENT FOR WATCHING SOME SHITTY TV AD! Its beyond ridiculous and really puts a stain on the game IMO. |

Eh, it didn't bother me as such. It's more amusing than distracting. Although this may be a sad reflection on myself, that I'm so used to product placement and in-game ads that they no longer phase me (except when they're really out of place and obtrusive as all hell, Splinter Cell Conviction) As for my favourites so far this year: - Alan Wake - Red Dead Redemption - Mass Effect 2 - Final Fantasy XIII - Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse |

Incongruous ads for Intel or Dr Pepper or something, including one time when I died and an Intel ad appeared as a ground texture. I haven't beaten the game (nor do I ever plan to), but I wouldn't be surprised if turns out that Sam Fisher's 'daughter' was actually the bold, refreshing taste of Xtreem Mountain Dew Now In Night Vision Green DO THE DEW™! |

I got sick of the bullshit gun play....it was bad, maybe even as bad as Alpha Protocols.... When you're standing 2 feet away from an enemy and 3 point blank shots don't kill them....and you're in an action scene when the mechanics and such don't really go well with those action scenes, it just turned into a bullshit frustrating game. It was bad. Very bad. That being said I'm kinda liking Alpha Protocol, wont make my GOTY list sadly, but I'm enjoying it. Panda - My definition of a GOTY is one that appeals to me on every level and that I sink hours into and play for days, that keep my enjoyment levels on max for the entire experience. They don't have to perfect, just enjoyable and fairly competant. Also, Mass Effect 2 had the crappest story, no soul and was a shooter and not RPG. It makes the list because it did most of its facets pretty damn well, it just was a soulless machine when you put all those parts together into a game. All of this i moot though. Fallout: New Vegas will be GOTY. |

Am I the only one who found that shooting thing ridiculous? You know, you press Y or whatever to mark your enemies and then SAM SHOOTS THEM FOR YOU. Stupid. |
