Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch himself has confirmed he will be in the upcoming Uncharted film by director David O. Russell (writer-director of Three Kings & The Fighter also starring Mark Wahlberg).

More exciting is the fact that rumour has it that Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro will also be joing the cast.

C'mon, Darth, Marky Mark is the shizzle!! Didn't you see him act his Jewish/Irish arse off in the Other Guys? Top notch, mate, top notch!

I wonder where Joe Pesci and De Niro will fit into the film...

If it turns into a Mafia film, I'm fucking rioting.

His father and uncle....

....who are nowhere to be seen in the games.

Seriously, why the fuck do publishers not get a clause in the contract when they sell the rights to get some sort of say in how their fucking IP's are being portrayed.

I mean Marvel are the only ones getting it right now with Comic -> Movie adaptations....oh and DC with Batman and Green Lantern (Maybe)

Just fucking pathetic.

Bruce Campbell as Sully.
Nathan Fillion as Nathan.

5 stars.
Fixed...

Though, Christopher Walken wouldn't be a terrible choice.

I wish Nathan Fillion would star in this. Marky Mark is a fairly decent actor, but Drake is basically Mal from Firefly. We already KNOW he can nail the role.

Anyone reckon they will give Nolan North a part to play? Even maybe just a bit part? I think it would be reasonable for him to appear in the film; he doesn't have a face that is fit solely for voice acting, like some radio personalities like Hughesy.

I doubt it. Whenever Hollywood touches a game franchise, they usually want to get away from the source material. I think that's pretty bizarre because you'd think that after all these game movies which have been disappointments (PoP made nowhere near as much as they were hoping, and the only game movie that I can think of that made decent money are the first Tomb Raider and Mortal Kombat movies) that they would try respecting the source material and getting actual gamers in to see the movie.

The big screen version of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is starting to sound less like Raiders of the Lost Ark and more like National Treasure. Director David O. Russell says his upcoming game-to-film adaptation will focus on treasure-hunting hero Nathan Drake (to be played by Mark Wahlberg) -- as well as his extended family

I've changed my mind. I want Brendan Fraser as Nathan Drake now.
