Well, I was looking for devices that would offer adequate space for all my media, and I stumbled across this little beauty. The Archos 5. I am tossing up whether or not I should buy one, I dislike the way they look, and also their interface (unless with Android updates it looks different/better now?), but it seems like the perfect item for me with my expansive music and film collection on my computer; as it comes with a 500 GB hard drive. It's also a tablet PC, which I never really had any interest in, but I suppose it would be entertaining and/or useful.

It's about $300 on eBay, as I can't find it available locally. It's either this or a 160 GB iPod Classic, unless someone can tell me another device that may be worth looking at.

Also, it's French.

I was looking at an Archos a while ago. Practicality is minimum, and Android chugs dick, but they do their job really well. The add-ons are damned expensive though.

Perhaps I'll pass, I really just wanted it as a huge music player, something that no matter how large my music collection, it could handle it. But I also want a sleek design, and quick, responsive interface.

Also, Fantastic Planet, amazing isn't it? :P
