Watched Hot Rod for the first time today, Impakt's sig was just too damn enticing.

So very, very funny

"I used to be legit. I was too legit. I was too legit to quit. but now I'm not legit. I'm unlegit. And for that reason, I must quit."

"Frank, I'm going to get you better, you old sack of shit, and then I'm going to uncork the ass beating of a lifetime on you! And you will respect me!"

Oh man

Movie had some funny parts in it, but I found it was trying to be too weird. Like the writers sat down and purposefully tried to make something along the lines of Napleon Dynamite but ended up with a more mainstream American piece of over-acting crappola.
Still worth a watch though :D

I thought you said it was LIKE Napoleon Dynamite, not WAS Napoleon Dynamite. Because that was absolute rubbish.

Eh?
ND was good, in it's very quirky way (before all the retards got a hold of it and thought they were "hip" when quoting it).
Hot Rod is a bit of a try hard, piggybacking off the weirdness thing. It does have some funny moments though.

T!M has expressed my point rather succinctly. To this list, I also add Donnie Darko, but not many people seem to agree with me on that one.

Napoleon Dynamite was okay, funny in places..interesting cinematography....but it wasnt the amazing thing people claim it to be.

And I agree with Donnie Darko...that was overrated as well, but the masses are getting a sequel to it so meh...

Donnie Darko isn't so crap if you watch the directors cut
makes much more sense.

Napoleon Dynamite was fucking shit. I had a fight with someone I know because they thought it was awesome. Fucking lame. God I hate people that quote that.

Hmm. I can lend Donnie Darko to you but I saw Hot Rod at a friend's house so I don't have a copy of that.

I really liked Donnie Darko so nyah :P to all you naysayers.

And Al, I'd probably agree with you if I had seen Hot Rod on my own, but there's just too much quoting fun to be had with it! May our ancestors protect you.

I saw the new Bond movie today. I enjoyed the story and I liked Craig as Bond, but it was nowhere near as entertaining as Casino Royale. The main reason was that the action sequences seemed like they had been cut together by Michael J. Fox (been perusing the funny picture thread a bit too much). There are points where you have absolutely no idea what's going on because the camera angle keeps changing and you can't pick up any continuity between shots. I'm sick of action movies not letting you see the freaking action! Oh, and Craig is extra buff in this one, so I guess that's a positive at least :P

Oh thank you. The Director and cinematographer deserve to be shot. Also, it honestly seemed like the dialogue sequences were in place to string together the action set pieces. Casino Royale was easily the better movie. Quantum was still decent, but did the new direction no justice.
