Since we are doing this:
1. Gold Finger
2. Diamonds Are Forever
3. Octopussy
4. The Living Daylights
5. Casino Royale

On another note, I saw 'Art School Confidential' tonight. The movie (which is feature length) is based on a 4 page portion of an issue of Eightball comics which was written/drawn by Daniel Clowes. Clowes himself wrote the screenplay and it shows (in a good way). The comic strip was a satirical look at art schools and the movie expands on this, including the notion of 'what makes art, art?' (amongst many others) in the lampooning. Fans of Clowes' work (especially his comedic stuff) or of the 'Ghost World' movie should definitely check this out as well.

Twas okay. I don't have the nostalgia for the old show, but goddamn that movie would've been traumatising...

Lars and the Real Girl

After years of denying emotional or physical contact with others, Lars finally falls in love... with a life-like sex doll called Bianca.
While this sounds like a set-up for an American Pie style comedy, the situation is treated seriously. The movie provides a few good laughs, but the focus is more on examining the reasons for Lars' delusion which is why I liked it so much.

Lars and the Real Girl

It's amazing how far other people are behind me in watching obscure movies because if my job.

I saw it quite a while ago now but I do remember it being pretty good, the almost reverent style they took to the story was refreshing.
