What is your current connection?

Not really sure what your asking. If you have your modem near your 360 you will need an Ethernet cable to connect to your 360 and modem. I would recommend a wireless modem as they are pretty easy to setup and you wont have a long ass cable running through your house

About the internet connection, what's your budget per month? and what plans are in your site?
I'm currently with Optus, I have ADSL2 with the 7gb peak and 14gb off peak package. I'm paying $69.95 per month.

I'm quite happy with this connection but since getting my ps3 and playing online, it really eats your bandwidth so I usually only play during off peak.

Just for the people who wanted to know their speeds, Couldn't you just check out the Optus site and see what speed they have down for your plan? Or else you could always go to http://www.speedtest.net/ and test your speed against the server. I'm on the Optus Power Plan (we're bundled with a home and mobile) and I think I'm paying about $70 for the Internet a month. The speeds are changing soon (we just got some letter saying there was going to be faster internet. I'm not complaining!). I have 20gb in peak times and 40gb in off-peak times. It's a pretty decent connection. I've never gone over my cap, especially since I leave torrents going over night in the off-peak times, and playing on XBL is fine. I use a wireless modem/router, but have my 360 connected with an ethernet cable because it's right next to the modem.

I am on the same plan as Melonqueen, and have no complaints about speed or reliability.

Yeah I'd recommend it... I've never had a single problem with it, so from that experience alone I'd say yes, go with Optus.

Optus or Internode. I have some good friends on internode, and they reckon they're awesome.
