I went to see Indiana jones last week and while i was waiting for the movie i started to think that it might be time for cinemas to upgrade their projection methods. What do you guys think?

Funnily enough I was thinking that when I saw Prince Caspian on Thursday, but there's no other way to project such a big object, unless they ditch projection all together.

I wouldn't mind watching blu-ray movies on a 1000+ inch LCD TV, but the price and repair cost for such a big TV would be enormous, no Cinema would be able to afford it.

Dead pixels would drive me nuts, too.

Last movie I went to see was I Am Legend. I couldnt help thinking that I could get a better picture quality at home. I realy dont see a point of cinemas anymore, untill they get some Wow factor back.

If you go to a newer cinema the picture quality is better
Reading at chirnside park is good and the sound is unreal I can live with a slightly washed out picture to have the big screen experience. Sure plasma and LCD looks nice and shiny but the novelty of that soon wares of too.

Plus going to the cinemas is a good reason to take the girl freind out for the night.

Problem with Chirnside Park? The jailbait there is unbelievably good. When I get old, I hope my kids move me to a home over there. I'd never leave.

Haha and that's why working in a Shopping Centre during Summer School Holidays was pure torture...

I'm stuck in the country now, with a 2 screen cinema that shows about 5 movies at a time..

Mind you, I saw Indiana Jones there the other week, and It wasn't too bad...its more the fact that its takes forever for things to come down here, unless its a big "blockbuster" movie...like Indiana or The Dark Knight

I work in a shopping centre right across from a high school... You guys would enjoy going for a walk around there around 3pm on a weekday :P

I mostly go to the cinema at Century City Walk in Glen Waverley. It's a pretty decent cinema. Although I almost had a heart attack when i walked past a couple of days ago and Intencity was closed!! Please don't tell me they're getting rid of them. I hope it's just for reno's.
