Was playing 'The Darkness' earlier today and I got an achievement for being romantic with my girlfriend. Two people making out is not that special! The romance achievement should have been the reward for successfully completing a lengthy conversation tree in which you get your girlfriend to agree to some freaky tentacle sex with The Darkness. Other than that minor qualm, the game has been pretty fun so far (although a large portion of time has been spent murdering lightbulbs - "There can be only none!")

I thought that scene was an amazing touch. Granted, I too would have liked some tentacle action, but the seamless way that whole scene played out, with the TV and your GF lying there, was so well done. Darkness was so very close to magnificent.

Well if we are going to be all serious about it :P
Personally I have been surprised at the quality of the game so far. Given the nature of the Darkness comic, it took a lot of balls to re-imagine the character for another medium. While cliched, the story has kept me entertained so far and the integration of the mission delivery into the game world was neat. I was expecting an old school mission select with unlockable cut-scenes etc., but the way they've managed to mesh the storyline with gameplay has been engaging.

His post on growing up is one of the best on the boards. That's not difficult, considering some of the shit we put on here, but still.

I rented Turok the other day because i thought i might see what it's like...20mins in game time i realised i didn't need guns all i needed was me damn knife.

Except for the bloody big T-rex and the anphibious fable 1 rip off monster.

but other than that it was ok knifing cut scenes were alright but went a bit to long all ways ended up getting shot or smacked in the face by a dino but atleast it gave me something to do for 2 days......gave up on 1st day because of the stupid Fable1 rip off creature drove me insane until the 2nd day i realised shooting the volcanic floor bits would harm it more than flaming it in the mouth with a flamthrower.

^^ Totally this

EDIT: Oh, Elek. Would this certain stage involve 'friction' by any chance? If so, I agree x 9001.

I replayed Phantom Hourglass to get back in the Ninty spirit and having finished that I've moved straight onto Twilight Princess. Maybe it's moving from the touch screen interface back to the console joypad, but I'm finding the controls a little imprecise. I don't remember having this problem on my first play through, but that was back in the early days when the waggle phenomenon had not yet been given a name. Additionally, making the immediate transition between the cell shaded art style and the TP design made me realise just how much more I liked the cell shaded graphics (even when they were presented on the DS) than the "realistic" graphics used in TP.
