Jan 27th I think for ME2, so more than a month.

And I'm still not sold on DA:O. For everyone's uproar over FPS games rehashing old material, Bioware seem immune from that criticism, despite selling the same game time after time. Not saying it's necessarily a bad thing, but the wave of unrest always seems to fall on FPS.
I havent played any of Bioware's other RPGs, but i had heard that it was very much like Neverwinter Nights.
I think the Fallout series copped that critisism too, but more of the how-far-can-we-milk-this-concept type.
Eh, Fallouts done by three different devs.

Bethesda knows how to do sprawling, open worlds....and calling it 'Oblivion with Guns' completely ignores the fact that Fallout was a sprawling Open World Game long before Oblivion was around.

Sure there are game play similarities, such as the NPC Interaction and Recycled Background Actors....buts thats more to do with Bethesda's style of programming.

Bioware have said that DA:O is the spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate, since they can't use the Forgotten Realms world where that and NWN was set...so I guess its fair to say there was going to be alot of similarity in the games.

But still, Recycling Character arcs is a bit slack. I'll have to give DA:O a try...

I think I'll plead ignorance then :) Though I am curious to try NWN and BG just to see the similarities with DA:O

You should, some great games...plus NWN Diamond Edition is usually dirt cheap now and it has both Expansions and Premium Modules in it. Plus BG and BGII are still considered to be some of the Best RPGs ever

Also, if you're a fan of those kinds of RPGs, Planescape: Torment and Icewind Dale from Black Isle are also worth alook. Planescape is still one of the Greatest RPGs of all time in my mind.

As for what I've been playing, I just picked up Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway for 19.00 at Kmart...couldnt resist at that Price.

^ This is true.

I picked up Star Ocean: The Last Hope from the same sale at Kmart. JRPG with real time combat, combos and counter-attacks is quite refreshing.

I'm getting round to all the games I didn't beat over the year
Up to last boss in Prototype but it is bullshit!
First time I tried it glitched and wouldn't let me attack, so I timed out.
Now I can attack, but he has so much health and there is so little time that I keep losing.

Being a fan of last gen's Prince of Persia trilogy, I thought I'd give the 360 game a go. I finished it yesterday and now I wish I could remove all memory of having ever played it. Thinking about what they did to the prince makes me sick.

Finished off Borderlands last night and I have no idea what the storyline was, I stopped reading the text for missions back at Fyrestone - about the time when my addiction to lewt kicked in.

Also finished the Wolverine game which was a lot of fun. While there was barely any storyline delivered, the game owned the movie when it came to action - there is claw fodder everywhere and agent zero dies the way he should have in the movie. There were also a few comic book fanboy reference littered throughout, in particular when they referred to the classic 'Days of Future Past' storyline at the game's conclusion I jizzed so hard I blew my ball cuffs off.

Asassins Creed 2...playing through the storyline again..

It seems shorter on the 2nd run through, probably cos Im not getting Sidetracked as much with all the optionals....except for Codex's and Assassins Tombs.

The 6th Assassins Tomb is place where everything that is annoying about the game Shines. (Camera and Control Annoyances)

But yeah....totally love this game.

Currently playing Fallout 3 GOTY, awesome... Last game clocked was Bioshock, which i must say was superb in my humble opinion. Looking forward to Bioshock 2 now. By the way, can anyone tell me if Rise of the Argonauts is worth buying?
