I've been playing Mass Effect 2 for the last 5 hours and it has been suitably epic. I was very concerned that the chick on the cover was not hot enough (she looks like an american house wife) but her in-game character model is a lot fitter so crisis averted in that department. There has been a huge improvement in the combat mechanics and the hacking minigames actually require a little thought now. I'm looking forward to having this game suck the life out of me.
The first Mass Effect is doing plenty to suck the life out of me. And not in the good way, either. There are a lot of things wrong with the gameplay. The only reason why I persist is because apparently I'll see God - or something - if I carry over the save file in to the sequel. That, and the universe is kind of interesting in a sort of 70s sci-fi throwback kind of way.

I don't know what I hate more: The game's bullshit combat/mako/redundant exploration or myself for going back for more.

Discovering knew things about the mass effect universe was what kept me motivated in the first game but playing no. 2, I find myself becoming addicted to the combat as well. The character import rewards you with experience, cash and resource bonuses, but you don't get to keep your stats. So far I've only seen a few story points from the first game woven into this iteration as a result of the import but I'm hoping that the payoffs are going to get more significant as the game progresses.

Thexder Neo - It's a Square-Enix published title out on the PSN today, so I fooled around with the demo a bit. It's basically a 2D action platformer where you have the ability to swap between a mech and a plane (think Robotech). Not the best game in the world, but once you get the hang of it, I'm sure you'd find much more enjoyment out of it.

Worth noting (because it surprised the hell out of me), that the game over screen plays Moonlight Sonata. As in the Beethoven piece. Pretty cool.

While playing Hardcore TDM on MW2 last night (with a few guys Sim & I regularly play with), I noticed a couple players on my team who had randomly joined the match were doing the infinite care package glitch (which the patch to fix went into M$ on Friday for certification...finally).

As there is friendly fire in hardcore, I decided to stalk these 2 players and kill them everytime they tried the glitch until they quit the game. This is the first time I've come across it in Hardcore, in other modes ithe glitch is used constantly.

Just got done with the Heavy Rain demo. Very interesting stuff. Love the way the interface presents itself, and actually does look extremely cinematic. That being said, the models aren't that stunning, and some of the voice acting is off.

The last game I played was GTA:Chinatown Wars on my iPod touch. I wish it was on the XBOX 360.

Started Bioshock 2 last night, if you liked the first game you will enjoy this one too. But this one doesn't feel the same, can't quite put my finger on it yet - maybe cause your a Big Daddy that can use Plasmids - time will tell.

Only had time for a quick go of the MP, they are your standard Free-For-All, TDM, CTF (the Flag is a Little Sister...no pedo comments included), etc... Instead of XP you gain ADAM to level up and unlock weapons/plasmids and at random times in a MP match a Big Daddy suit will come up in a game at the first to it becomes a Big Daddy.

Cannot wait to get into Bioshock 2. Picked my preorder up, watched my brother start the first hour. Intro is intense stuff. I guess the developers had in mind that nothing could top the first's intro, but still, might as well give it another crack.

After I get my speech on Internet censorship done, I'll jump into this fine lookin' game.

Finally getting into Fallout 3 after hours of agonising over every stupid dialog choice I've decided to just go with whatever and if I miss out on stuff so be it - got a house and a wadsworth, killed a bunch of fucking ants and done the first chapter of the survival guide ... also got stuck on a chair, shot my pistol through a few raiders, chased a few NPC's around, looked at every interesting bit of brown, and done a bit of skating :)
