Just started Alan Wake. I'm only about half an hour in, but if this is what the game is like... I cannot believe that this game got glowing reviews from some publications. The voice acting/script is just awful so far. Well below Max Payne.

Also downloaded the Quantum Theory demo. Sucks. The best way I could describe it is Gears Of War set in a Barbie Princess themed world, with uninspired enemies and a gun that is just a chore to use.

I was looking forward to this since I dig Gears, but this blows.

Yeah, I've been hearing that a lot lately. I've seen a few copies around shops like Dungeon Crawl, and was tempted to pick it up for hilarity.

Seriously though, been playing some Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. It's really just more Guitar Hero, shockingly. That being said though, best part of the game so far has been unlocking a collection of the old Neversoft intros, from the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games. Admittedly, it's not all of them (it's from Pro Skater 3 to Proving Ground), but it's pretty neat.

Played the Castlevania Lords of Shadow demo was pretty good had a god of war type feel gameplay wise but thats never really a bad thing and theres actually variety in the finishing moves which was cool. I also found the hard mode difficult but i do suck at the these type of games so thats probably why anyway looking forward to picking this up.

If you didn't check out the live stream, I got to play some Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. Having not played the demo, it was kinda neat to run through it and enjoy it for the first time. For some reason, I get quite the vibe from Uncharted - mainly just in the platforming and how...automatic it is. Also really did love some of the plot elements they borrowed from Journey Into The West, and the visual direction is quite something - love the cinematic atmosphere which these guys are great at.

That being said, it probably wasn't the best way to play it - the TV was so far away from me, that it was hard to actually play the game! I can deal with no sound, but good god.

There was no sound?

Apparently the soundtrack is one of its best features :P

So I hear - but the TV I was playing it on was muted. I don't know if the sound showed up on the stream (which I highly doubt), but otherwise, it was fine. Might pick up a copy later in the week for the hell of it, since I did like what I played.

I PO'd with JB online....

...since you get the Classic Monkey costume, comic and Soundtrack.

With the 92.50 its ending up costing me.

We actually got the comic and part of the soundtrack in the press kit. Pretty neat.

But 92.50? Not bad.

Played some Dead Rising 2 - definitely surviving a bit better than I was while going through the original, thanks to all the improvements made in the game (such as survivor A.I not sucking!).

Now I needs money. Lots of money. Stupid Zombrex.

Zombrex:

- There is one on top of the Big Aztec Statue in the Yucatan Casino, with an LMG as well.

- In the Americana Casino, go to the 2nd Level of Benny Jacks and you'll see the big Yellow Square lights, jump to it then use them to cross to the other side of the Casino, where you will find a ledge with a Broadsword, Money, Toy you can give to Katey and Zombrex

- Code Blue Mission: Take Sven Back to the Safe House, he'll give you some.

- Mail Order Zombrex: Clive the Psychotic Postman, you'll get some when you kill him

- Hunger Pains: Take Richard back to the safehouse and he'll give you some Zombrex

Damn...there's two other Free Zombrex's around that I cant remember....you need 7 all up if you want to save all the Survivors and get to Overtime Mode

4 for Katey, 2 for Survivor Jared, and another one for part of the main storyline....you'll know it when you come to it.
