Hey guys, seeing as we've revealed a new board for y'all to post in, why not use it to give away that copy of Half-Life 2 that Timmay has generously offered?

If you want to win a copy of HL2, just post a review from now until July 30th. It's that simple. The best review will be judged by myelf, Jason and Timmay - so get cracking!

Here's hoping we can do something like this in the future. Just make sure that if you win, you have a computer capable of running HL2, as well as a Steam account - we're giving away a PC version of the game.

That's it, that's all. Later...

Can I do a review anyway even if I don't want to enter? (I already have HL2) :P

Will there be video reviews? that would be impressive to see the resourcefulness of the reviewer and how good at video editing they are.

How many can we enter? Also can we enter written ones. Is there a specific date or platform? Like can I review Space Invaders or something? Anyway, this sounds fun! Thanks Timmay! And Darth of course.

Just specify that you don't want to win when you do your review, and you should be right.

Timmay - video reviews are fine. If you can do one, then by all means, do it!

Lux - Written/Recorded is fine. As for the dates of games - for this one, we'll make it from the NES to today, but it'd be a good idea to do a variety of games. For later ones, we'll make you work with specifics.

Is there a set due date? because I would really like to use my holidays for something useful, i'd love to do a video review using fraps of one of my games, the only question is which one... :D (obviously I don't want to be in contention for the prize)

Ok, here's what I'm thinking. Duke Nukem though history. It was my first game so I'm going to review it and the newer ones. At least as many as I can. Is this ok?

It's ok. It's not a chicken! It's Mr. Flibble from Red Dwarf.
From Wikipedia:
Mr. Flibble

Mr. Flibble is a hologramatical hand puppet penguin. He is fluffy and malevolent, and often "very cross". In the episode Quarantine, Arnold Rimmer wore Mr. Flibble on his hand and together they terrorised the rest of the crew. Rimmer had been infected by a hologramatical virus, the "Hex virus", which gave him mental powers, but also made him completely psychotic. Both Mr. Flibble and Rimmer were armed with the power of Hex vision. When they attack with this power, their eyes glow red, and then a deadly beam of energy is discharged from their eyes.

Mr. Flibble is now an interviewer on the Red Dwarf official website.

Rimmer also wore a red check dress and blond pigtails

Just so everyone know i will be revisiting HL2 to review so you can all see what you are playing for, please give me some time because i've got to play through it again and get some FRAPS footage before i start piecing it together. If i have enough time i plan to tag on a little extra something :D

I'll just be putting it all together on Windows Movie Maker and narrating over the top, unless someone can suggest a better program?
