To dispel another myth...de-modding does not guarantee that you will still not get banned....its not the mod that gets you banned, its what you run on the machine...what you run tags the machine.

Actually funny story...I was talking to a friend who owns a nails care beauty shop a few days ago and I was telling him how well the wii was selling....how the demographic was finally incorporating the female market....

To which both young women in immediate earshot getting their nails done both protested that they both owned xbox 360 and were fps players...and really had little interest in the wii......I guess i got owned...lol

Oh man, I could get into a missive rant at you but it seems they already did

Is liljohnny still around, and does he do repairs on the original xbox?

Mine has decided it's time to repeatedly attempt suicide... of course it does this on the last level of Stranger's Wrath... a game I waited a long time to play! :(

Thanks. The problem seems to have fixed itself (hopefully it stays fixed). :)

Trick for the original Xboxes if the laser is slipping: Put something heavy right above the disc drive. It kills the laser quicker, but means it works nearly normally until it dies.

I don't think it's the laser, at one point the power just went off and I couldn't turn it on...

I tried another lead (one with a power button) and it seemed to work. I tried it again later, and it went off again, but this time I could turn it on... it'd just go off again after a minute or two. I gave up after awhile, but the next day, I managed to play for an hour and finish Stranger's Wrath. :D

So hopefully that's fixed, if not there's only one xbox game I've got left that I have to paly (Munche's Odyssee :P) so it's not too big of a deal.

Yer i think you are on the right path with the PSU. The recall on the power cords had nothing to do with the power cord, it was a safety switch for the fualty foxcon PSU. I normally charge $50 to repair these. quote level3 prior to booking and ill fix it for $35 :P

Incidently:

For the ps2 fanbois out there, you can now mod them plug n play, no swapping of disks, no voiding of warrantys and dirt cheap :D Ive sent a sample off to Jason to play with....it even has built in hdd loaders!

I am thinking of giving some away on the showfor beta testers....so pester him about it if you want some free stuff.

So just to confirm
someone like myself who is almost always playing Xbox Live should not get my 360 modded.
And also if I were to get banned would my account be banned as well as my console or just the console coz I'd buy another console

You can play Live on a modded 360 you just have to 'stealth' the games. I don't know much about but one of my mates was telling me.

Just wait for Little Jonny to clear it up.

Feel free to throw one my way. I'm guessing it works with all ps2 models?
