well i doubt you still have a warranty on it since you have had it for a while and im sure nintendo would make you pay heaps for repairing it.

see if there are any repair shops in the city or localy, but did you hack it and then it stoped working or did it happen all of a sudden.

it happened while under warranty 3 months old or so ,i drove to nintendo head office (the little store they have out back)and they gave me a new one and traded my vc games across , it took all of 5mins .

So my 360 has spat the dummy and gone 3 red lights on me. I've been to Microsoft's site, and registered a repair for a general hardware fault which was quite painless. Entered the serial number, and it gave me a receipt for a free repair.

However it was a bit vague - will Microsoft be sending me packaging to use to post it to them? Because they also mentioned a label to print and use for the same purpose. I know I could google it but I'd like to know from a Melbournian who's been through it.

You need to use your own packaging
and it can't be the original box
they will email you instruction and it will have a slip you print off and attach to the box when you send it that pays for the postage.

I get receipts for Microsoft Points in the mail. Am I the only one?

They have my address but I've never been mailed a receipt. I've only ever received confirmation via e-mail.

This, but Elektrixxx's point makes sense.

This is the first one in the mail I got back in December. I get them whenever I use my friend's card to buy 5000MSP:

The only thing wrong with my360 is that my disc tray is stuffed when i go to open it, it closes in 5 seconds. And my light on my 360 sometimes changes to second player. Other than that it's still going good.
