turn router off and on again is a temporary fix. Other than that you need to find out the MAC address of your 360 and then go to http://192.168.0.1 and find the NAT settings in the networks tab and allow the 360. |

Not sure how to open your NAT 360 but it should be kind of the same method as I used for my PS3. I assigned a static IP address for my PS3 then put that IP address into the DMZ of my router. |

I might try this as my 360 still reverts back to moderate NAT settings when I unplug it or disconnect the modem. And I can't work out how I found it's MAC address last time. |

Ok Guys the best way to make everything work right is to forward the exact ports that the consoles use to connect out Below is a list for ps3 and Xbox360. Note: for port fowarding to work you need to set a static IP address on your console. If you dont know hwo or are to lazy to figure out how your router and console works. then work out a time with me and i'll pop around and fix it up for you or try and do it over the phone. PS3 All games published by SCEE may use the following ports for communication with game servers: TCP Ports: 80, 443, 5223, and 10070 - 10080 UDP Ports: 3478, 3479, 3658, and 10070 For PLAYSTATION Network: TCP Ports: 80, 443, 5223 UDP Ports: 3478, 3479, 3658 PLAYSTATION 3 Remote Play (via the Internet): If the router in use supports UPnP, enable the router’s UPnP function. If the router does not support UPnP, you must set the router’s port forwarding to allow communications to the PLAYSTATION 3 system from the Internet. The port number that is used by remote play is TCP Port: 9293 Xbox 360 You need the following ports open to your xbox360: UDP 53 UDP 88 UDP 3330 UDP 3074 TCP 3074 |

I got in using admin admin, but there are only 10 things where i can open the ports, first 7 are for the PS3 and I need 4 more for LIVE  EDIT: M'kay, set all the PS3 ports using the PS3 IP, somoene said something about static IP? My router is on auto config DHCP at the moment, do i need to change it? EDIT EDIT: Did a connection test on mah PS3, said that my NAT type is type 2 and that UPnP is "available". Also wireless strength is at about 20-30% if that helps. EDIT EDIT EDIT: When connected to LIVE on my PC it says I have "moderate" NAT settings and I frequently have to turn off my firewall to update or even sometimes sign into LIVE. (even though i've allowed those ports on my firewall (i think) and it is in game mode where settings allow ALL game traffic) |

ok to begin with timmay you should be able to forward a range of ports to save on the amount of settings in your router. also your router shoulde have a limit of DHCP IP's e.g. 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.100 might be reserved for DHCP if you wanna assign a static IP just make what ever device you want to have static IP's between 192.168.1.101 and above there no point forwarding ports in your router to a particular IP if it's a dynamic IP set by the DHCP server because the next time you turn on the device the router might give it another IP anywhere between 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.100 |
