upgrading to the elite is a smarter option if you have alot of stuff on your 360 but also with any new 360 i think they have fixed the rrod problem

I don't think 120gb is necessary on a 360
20gb isn't enough but I'm sure people could easily live with 60gb
unless they really want to install all their games and have heaps of arcade games and demos

Absolutely. I have no disc games saved on my system, yet I never have any more than about a gig. Watchmen was a hog, and I only have one demo on there ATM. The other killer is Rock Band. I have about 800mb worth. I'd hate to see moventura's RB file. That thing would be massive.

fair enough i guess 60gb would be proficient even if you wanted kep all your demos, arcade etc but i still stand by that the elite is the better choice

I have been using my Xbox 360 as a media center, but only 1/4 of my avis work due to the xbox not having the right codex, is there any way to update them other then the auto update on the 360 that did next to nothing

Really? Because I've only had very few movies the Xbox refused to play. When you say update, I assume you mean the Mixed Media pack? Because that updated the codec to take Xvid and HD Divx

Should be able to find an update among the other game downloads on the Live Marketplace. Dunno if that's the one Jason's talking about.

I still use my chipped Xbox 1 and XBMC it's still the best media player

the xbox 360 xvid codecs are crappy and choppy compared to the ps3 and even the xbox 1 with xbmc

I already had the optional media update, is that what you were talking about?

Also when i try to play them i get the error 80-C00DF242

Im thinking the best way around this is to recode my vids

Re-coding the vids would take ages, just troubleshoot the error code on the support website for whatever system you are trying to stream to (360?).

This is absolute truth. I gave mine to a good friend for helping us make Level3, but rumour has it certain modders will be selling XMBC's again very soon. Looks like I'll need to treat myself...
