Section 1 - Ethics, The Codes Category 1: Jedi Codes The Jedi Code. While the Jedi Code dictates a number of issues relating to understanding and mastering the Force, it is not entirely about that. A Jedi must feel the Force to know it, and ancient texts and rules cannot substitute for that experience. At the same time, a Jedi's social behavior cannot be learned by applying the Force to it. The Jedi Code also gives a set of expectations and guidelines by which a Jedi must conduct himself. By following the Code, anyone can open up and allow the light side of the Force to flow freely through them and gain a better understanding of the universe and everything around them A closer examination of the Jedi Code helps to provide some insight not only into the way Jedi behave but also into the way following such strictures helps to foster a way of life conducive to averting the temptations of the dark side. The Code is categorized into three subjects; self-discipline, responsibility, and public service. The New Jedi Code – Luke Skywalker. Jedi are the guardians of peace in the galaxy Jedi use their powers to defend and protect. Jedi respect all life in any form. Jedi serve others rather than ruling over them, for the good of the galaxy. Jedi seek to improve themselves through knowledge and training. Jedi Mantra (And Jedi Code by Odan-Urr) Emotion yet peace. (There is no emotion, there is only peace) Ignorance yet knowledge. (There is no ignorance, there is only knowledge) Passion yet serenity. (There is no passion, there is only serenity.) Chaos yet harmony. (There is no chaos, there is only harmony.) Death yet the Force. (There is no death, there is only the force.) Category 1: The Meaning of the Refined Code There is no emotion, there is peace Emotions are a natural part of living. As the great sagas have shown us, Jedi are not immune to feeling emotions. Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and Master Yoda both openly express their sorrow when they discover the death of younglings at the newly-appointed Darth Vader's hand. This tenet is not to say that emotion does not exist but that it ought to be set aside. Emotions must be understood first, and it is a young Jedi's duty to explore his feelings. Unless a Jedi can confront his thoughts and feelings, he will never achieve peace. Emotions, then, are not to be overcome or denied, but rather understood and dealt with. A'Sharad Hett reminds the young Anakin Skywalker of this during their campaigns together during the Clone Wars. Hett points out that Anakin's anger is understandable, but he must face it. This tenet could be modified to read "Emotion cannot take away my peace." There is no ignorance, there is knowledge A Jedi must be circumspecting and try to understand the world that is surrounding him. That ignorance does not exist is, of course, a flat-out lie or gross misunderstanding. Ignorance is a part of life but it must not be feared. For more knowledge to light their way, the Jedi Temple Archives contains possibly the single largest source of information in the galaxy, but this tenet also reminds the Knight that knowledge can be taken from the most unusual places. The great Master Yoda demonstrated this to the young Luke Skywalker on Dagobah when he acted like a fool, and when he acted childish in front of younglings. This performance was meant to teach Luke and the younglings the simple fact: even the foolish can be wise. Indeed, while instructing younglings, Master Yoda was often heard to remark that "Truly wonderful the mind of a child is." This tenet is what gives the Jedi his open mind and ability to accept what other beings would tend to see as unacceptable. In other words, this tenet points out that often a Jedi must use not only his rational mind but also his intuitive mind in order to ascertain the truth of a situation. This tenet is embodied by Qui-Gon Jinn's statement to Anakin Skywalker to "feel, don't think." Dexter Jettster would further demonstrate this notion: "I should think you Jedi would have more respect for the difference between knowledge and wisdom." There is no passion, there is serenity This tenet is essentially a repetition of the first. But this refers more directly to situations of extreme stress in which a Jedi might be tempted to react strongly. That a Jedi must draw his weapon only in defense is an expression of this tenet. While emotions and intuition must be understood and utilized in a Jedi's daily life, he must never act rashly. Passionate use of power leads to the dark side. A Jedi must always act with a calm hand and an even temper. There is no chaos, there is harmony This statement reflects the cosmology of the Jedi Order. Whereas uninitiated beings see the universe as a chaotic and disconnected place, a Jedi realizes that all things are interconnected and, more importantly, interdependent. While an uninitiated being sees sorrow and tragedy in the workings of the universe, through the Force, a Jedi is able to interpret and understand even the most painful of life's events. Without this cosmology, surely the first tenets of the Jedi Code would be meaningless. After all, how could one possibly forsake love and compassion if he did not understand the truth of the universe: there is no chaos, there is harmony. Every event has a purpose. As the great Jedi Master Yoda told Anakin Skywalker once, "Death is a natural part of life." Minor inconveniences such as failure, disappointment, and disagreement are also inevitable and should be taken in stride. Jedi do not deny the fact that tragic and terrible things happen; they merely point out that tragedy is simply another part of life. Without this tenet, all other tenets of the Jedi Code would be meaningless. There is no death, there is the Force A Jedi, like many ancient feudal knights of various empires, must always be ready for death. As a warrior not only in combat but also in day-to-day life, it is easy to fail and fall. As Qui-Gon Jinn pointed out to the young Anakin Skywalker, it is quite possible to kill a Jedi, and it happens often. The sense of loss is often even greater for one who feels it with the Force. Death, however, is not a tragedy and is merely a part of the life cycle. Without death, life could not exist. The Force in us, still lives on after we die. This tenet represents a darker side of the Jedi Order, the side that accepts, indeed embraces, death, rot and corruption of corporeal forms. As such, Jedi do not fear death nor do they mourn it overmuch; a Jedi, after all, must celebrate death if he is to also celebrate life. While sources disagree on this point, it is noteworthy to point out that this tenet does not support vegetarianism among the Jedi but, some scholars argue, it does in fact support omnivorism among Jedi. This could also refer to living forever as a force ghost. The Crystal Code: The crystal is the heart of the blade. The heart is the crystal of the Jedi. The Jedi is the crystal of the Force. The Force is the blade of the heart. All are intertwined. The crystal, the blade, the Jedi. You are one. Crystal Code Explanation: Crystal produces blade of a lightsaber, it makes life. The heart is like a crystal, in that it produces our life, our blade. The Jedi are like the crystal, in that they give life to the Force. The Force is like the blade of our hearts, for our hearts are like the crystal, the crystal creates the blade. Crystal = Heart = Life Heart = Crystal = Life Jedi = Crystal = Heart = Life Life = The Force Section 1 - Ethics, Miscellaneous Codes The Jedi Code, Self-Discipline. Self-discipline is one of the key factors of Jedi behaviour and many lessons taught to the Jedi from a very young age focus on this basic doctrine. At first, the lessons are simple and no different than the lessons taught to other children throughout the galaxy. But as the young Jedi grows, the lessons increase in complexity to emphasize the importance of a disciplined life. Conquer Arrogance. A Jedi is taught that he is no better than another being who cannot touch the Force. A Jedi is not a Jedi simply because of his strong connection with the Force; he is a Jedi because somebody taught him to be one. Conquer Overconfidence. As young Jedi pupils learn of their Force-using abilities, they start to take on behaviour that they can do anything with that power. Jedi instructors teach these students to realize their limits so that they can accurately measure how far they can go, as well as understand their own limitations. Conquer Stubbornness. A Jedi who focuses too much on a single goal or perspective loses sight of other possibilities, including ones that might yield better results. A Jedi must learn that staying on one path or clinging to one point of view can be costly. A Jedi must keep their mind open and not be afraid to change with the situation. Conquer Recklessness. Young Jedi always seem too anxious to master their lightsabers and charge into battle without thinking ahead and developing some form of plan. These Jedi lack self-restraint. Acting impulsively has many times led to the loss of life or limb and placed easily obtainable goals out of reach. A Jedi must learn to pace himself at all times, be aware of unseen dangers and obstacles, and not tumble headlong into them. Conquer Curiosity. All people, no matter how public their lives are entitled to their privacy. A Jedi who pokes into somebody's business unnecessarily not only invades an individual's private life but also brings shame upon the Jedi for acting so rudely and creating distrust. Using the Force to do so only complicates matters further. The Force does not exist to serve one's curiosity. Conquer Aggression. For those less experienced in the ways of the Force, knowing the difference between attack, defense, and aggression does not come easily. A Jedi can attack and even kill without aggression, especially if they're calm, at peace, and not filled with anger or hatred. However, killing one's opponent should not become a common act, and a Jedi must explore every alternative before employing lethal force. Conquer External Loyalties. A Jedi is free to have connections with others outside of the Order, but divided loyalties can compromise a Jedi's effectiveness. Other loyalties can distract him from the task at hand and cause undue hardship for others. For this reason, the Jedi Order recruits students at a very young age and actively discourages relationships early in life that can create problems in the future. The Order also prohibits marriage without special permission from the High Council. A Jedi's loyalties should lie with the Force, the Jedi, the Republic, and himself, in that order. Conquer Materialism. Like external loyalties, possessions can also be a distraction. A Jedi doesen't need to lead a ascetic life, but one of travelling the light, carrying with them only the bare essentials. Very few Jedi own more than what they can carry. Conquer Defeatism. Possibly the greatest enemy a Jedi must face is the unshakeable belief that nothing can be accomplished, regardless of the size of the task. A Jedi should plan for success before contemplating failure. Planning to fail increases the chance to fail, and expecting to lose encourages one to put forth insufficient effort. The Jedi Code, Responsibility. Once the ideals of self-discipline are learned, a Jedi becomes more open to the light side of the Force and can more successfully listen to its will. In addition, a Jedi can begin taking responsibility for his actions. Any Jedi that does not take responsibility for his actions lacks the discipline expected of him as a member of the Order. Practice Honesty. Honesty is the first responsibility of the Jedi, and recogonizing its importance is vital to becoming a valued member of the Order. Although certain situations might require a Jedi to stretch the truth or create falsehoods within a particular situation, a Jedi must remain honest with himself, his Master, and the Council. Continually creating lies or subjecting others to delusions invites suspicions and incites anger from others upon discovery of the truth. Honour Your Promises. A Jedi that makes a promise should be prepared to follow through with that promise or make amends, if necessary. One who makes promises that he does not intend to keep creates dishonesty and is less likely to be trusted. Honour Your Padawan. Every Jedi Master that takes a Padawan under their wing has a responsibility toward helping that pupil complete their training. A Padawan should be treated with dignity and respect. A Master should not reprimand their Padawan in front of others, but they should commend them in public when they do something worthy of praise. Doing this helps build their confidence and helps improve the relationship between the Master and their Apprentice. Honour your Master. Likewise, a Padawan should honour their Master at all times. Although disagreements might occur, taking it to the point of arguement is not wise. When dealing with others apart from their Master, a Padawan should speak only when spoken to. At all other times, the Padawan should wait for their Master to address the issue. By doing so, the Master will not have to worry about the need to apologize for his apprentice's behavior. Honour the Jedi Council. Within the Jedi Order, the High Council is the final authority in all matters. However, it cannot watch over every single Jedi in the galaxy. Therefore, a Jedi dispatched on a mission represents the Jedi Order and the Council through his words and actions. At the same time, the Council must answer for what the Jedi says and does during his mission, and putting the Council in a difficult situation brings dishonour upon its members. Honour the Jedi Order. A Jedi's words and actions represent the Order as a whole. Positive words and deeds reflect positively, while negative ones damage the Order's reputation. Billions of people inhabit the galaxy, and only a small fraction of them have ever encountered a Jedi. The words and deeds of a single Jedi often create a first (and often lasting) impression of the Order as a whole. Honour the Law. The Jedi Order was appointed by the Galactic Republic to be the protectors of peace and justice throughout the galaxy. As the Republic's enforcers of law, the Jedi must also be bound by that same law. Any Jedi that is sent out to perform missions for the Republic must strive to avoid breaking the law. While venturing into areas of space outside the Republic's jurisdiction, a Jedi must exercise extreme care, for the local-governments might operate differently than the Republic, and a incident in which the Jedi breaks local laws might cause delays in resolving the situation through Republic channels. Honour Life. Since life is what strengthens the light side of the Force, honoring in all forms is one of the highest priorities of the Jedi Order. Care must be taken to protect life and avoid unnecessary death, for killing someone gives strength to the dark side of the Force. If a situation arises where a life must be taken after all other options have been contemplated, a Jedi should make sure that the reason is justified. Typically, this should be done in self-defense or the defense of others, incapable of defending themselves. A Jedi should never assume that the taking of a lfie is no cause for concern. Once a Jedi does not care about committing murder, then they've begun walking down the path to the dark side. The Jedi Code, Public Service. Even as the Jedi Order strives to expand its knowledge of the Force, it also exists to serve the public's needs. If the Jedi did not have the ability to use the Force, they would still serve as protectors of peace and justice, for doing so is one of the main reasons why the Order was appointed by the Republic. The fact that Jedi can and do use the Force merely accentuates the principle of serving the general public. Many of the ideals set forth for Public Service meld easily with promotion of the light side of the Force, but one must carefully weigh his options when seeking to uphold these ideals to make sure that as few people as possible are adversely affected by doing so. Duty to the Republic. Despite misconceptions held by some of the populance, the Jedi Order is not part of the Galactic Republic. Nevertheless, the Jedi serve the Republic to uphold its laws and protect its citizens. When they are not needed, they are asked to stand aside, which the Jedi willingly do. This long-standing arrangement between the two orgarnizations was created long ago, for reasons that have been long forgotten. Render Aid. In conjunction with promoting the ideals of the light side of the Force, all Jedi endeavour to provide aid to those in need whenever possible. However, a Jedi should not forego his other ideals to do so. Defend the Weak. A Jedi should defend those that are unable to defend themselves. At the same time, a Jedi must be aware that what might seem to be oppression in one culture might not necessarily be so in another. The morals and ethics of other cultures need to be carefully considered before taking action, lest a Jedi insinuate themselves into a situation where their help is not desired. Provide Support. Although a Jedi toils to help others in need, they must sometimes suspend their wishes and let others impart assitance instead, even if the Jedi could perform the act more quickly or easily. The Jedi should assist only as the situation requires, offer advice upon request, warn when necessary, and argue if proper reason fails. Section 1 - Ethics, The Jedi Tenets Tenants of the Jedi The Jedi are the Guardians of Civilisation and Peace. A Jedi uses the Force for Knowledge and Defence, never for Aggression or Personal Gain. Jedi do not Marry in order to avoid Passion and Attachment. Jedi respect one another and all life forms. A Jedi must protect the weak and defenceless from evil. Jedi are forbidden from ruling others, and must serve the galaxy. A Jedi does not take revenge. A Jedi does not act for personal gain or power. A Jedi expects betrayal from others. A Jedi does not kill an unarmed opponent. A Jedi only uses his lightsaber as a last resort, and only ignites it when prepared to kill. A Jedi only uses the Lightside of the Force. A Jedi always respects the High Council and the Republic. A Jedi follows the Force and their Instinct, never stopping to question emotions or orders. A Jedi does not fear death, and believes that it is the force's will Section 1 - Ethics, The Three Pillars of Jedi Strength The Jedi Code; The Three Pillars of Strength. The Three Pillars ; - Self-Discipline. - Knowledge. - The Force. The Force. The first of the three pillars is the Force, the constant in all things. Jedi require the Force in order to perform their duties, and in order to utilize it they have to have an understanding of it and the way it works. A Jedi must study the Force and live in tune with it. You must be able to control the Force, communicate with it, and know its will. When you interact with the Force, you will possess great power. But you must use it wisely. - Master Sabla-Mandibu said that Jedi are "Swimming in the Force in our every moment - breathing it, tasting it, riding its currents to our own unique destinies." Knowledge. The second pillar is Knowledge. Jedi require knowledge in order to fulfil their role in the galaxy, and this cannot be done without intense studying and accumulated knowledge. As a Jedi, you will value knowledge and wisdom in yourself and others. You must learn how to distinguish truth from lies, and how to seek out information so you can solve problems and resolve conflict. Self-Discipline. The third and final pillar is Self Discipline. Whereas the first and second pillars ensure that a Jedi is able to carry out their roles and duties the third pillar of Self Discipline ensures that the Jedi is capable of doing so without allowing outside forces to hold them back from doing so or from using their potential. A Jedi's duty is to others - to help, guide and protect - above their own wants, needs and desires. If a Jedi falls to their desires then they are more likely to become side tracked from their duties, and their better judgement may become clouded due to things such as family. This is the reason why Jedi keep no ties. It is why they need Self Discipline. Your role as a Jedi must come before your own desires. That means having no possessions and not becoming emotionally attached. If a Jedi cares more for something or someone than he does about his mission, he might make a poor decision and jeopardise the safety of the galaxy. Extra Note: This could be added to, as it is a basic overview. Section 1 - Ethics, Form Zero Form Zero. Form Zero should be the first means made by all Jedi in order to resolve conflict, and is the idea that the Jedi should do so without resorting to violence. Form Zero encourages diplomacy over conflict. Violence should only be a last resort. However it is more than this. Is something we all live by. Claiming that we strive for peace and then lopping someone's head off without warning will not get us a good reputation. Form Zero is the attitude and principle that we are peaceful at all times. Masters of Form Zero can turn any situation away from violence, or at least most. There are some which cannot be helped. Masters of Form Zero know when it is heading that way and they know the moment which they must act and can do so perfectly. Form Zero can come in many forms. Simple Diplomacy, Unethical Threats, even the Force - Simply Mindtricks can go a long way. It teaches to never be hot headed or allow other feelings to interfeer with decision making. When thinking about how to resolve a situation for example, just think about what is best for the greater peace, the greater good, even, and peace. |

Section 2 - Combat, The Seven Official Forms Form I - Shii Cho The way of the Sarlacc - The Determination form. The first of seven forms, Shii Cho is regarded upon as wild and raw; initiates who use it are often rather clumsy. It focuses upon basic motions and the targeting of specific areas, such as arms and legs. Shii Cho relies upon deliberate tactics and aims to disarm opponents rather than injuring them - in keeping with the Jedi way. However, it was deemed ineffective and was quickly replaced - yet it is still taught to all initiates. The Zones: 1 - head, 2 - right arm and side, 3 - left arm and side, 4 - back, 5 - right leg, 6 - left leg Disarming Slash A strike directed at the opponent's weapon in an attempt to rip it out of their grasp or destroy it. Sarlacc Sweep A wide sweeping attack in which the duelist struck against multiple enemies. Form II - Makashi The way of the Ysalamiri - The Contention form. The second form, Makashi, relies on precision and efficiency. It allows the practitioner to easily defend against an opponent whilst placing heavy focus on avoiding disarmament. Makashi is based on balance and footwork with the aim of out manoeuvring opponents. It utilizes light cuts and jabs rather than hack and slash movements, and is required to be fluid rather than strong. However, it was deemed ineffective against multiple opponents and blaster attacks. Contentious Opportunity A tactic based upon recognizing and exploiting an opening in the opponent's defence before swiftly moving to strike the exposed enemy. Makashi Riposte A defensive technique where the duelist slightly alters the angle of an opponent's attack before quickly retaliating with a counter strike. Form III - Soresu The way of the Mynock - The Resilience form. Soresu is the most defence based of all the seven forms. It relies upon tight bladework and subtle dodges to provide maximum defence coverage, minimising exposure to ranged weaponry, Soresu came to be considered the ultimate expression of non-aggressive Jedi philosophy. Practitioners of Soresu kept up constant blade movement to create and build up momentum and thus minimising energy expenditure. Soresu focuses on strong defence techniques with the aim of outlasting an opponent and waiting for them to make a fatigue or frustration caused mistake before they finally countered their opponent. However, Soresu was criticised for lacking offensive capabilities because the practitioner focused solely on the defence. Many also put it down because it facilitated the survival of the practitioner instead of victory over their opponent. Circle of Shelter A technique where the duelist creates a protected area around themselves and their allies, making it difficult for enemies to penetrate. Deflecting Slash A technique where the duelist redirects the momentum generated by deflecting an enemy projectile into a slashing attack at an adjacent target. Form IV - Ataru The way of the Hawk-Bat - The Aggression form. Ataru is an aggressive and fast paced form that used force assisted acrobatics such as somersaults and leaping strikes both for attack and defence. Ataru is considered to be effective against single opponents, yet not for prolonged lengths of time, but it was near-ineffective when used in confined places. Ataru is not recommended against blaster fire. It consists of fast and powerful attacks from multiple directions. Ataru opening stance Hilt held vertically. Feet shoulder width apart. Hawk-Bat Swoop Was intended to allow a combatant to quickly strike their opponent without giving them a chance to react. Saber Swarm Numerous short strikes were aimed at the adversary. Form V - Shien / Djem So The way of the Krayt Dragon - The Perseverance form. Shien was developed by Soresu practitioners who felt that the defensive-minded form would unnecessarily extend time spent in combat by waiting for an opportunity instead of creating one. Shien was characterised by power attacks and defence quickly followed by a counter strike. Shien was also adept at blocking blaster bolts and was even able to return them to their source of origin. Shien was designed to use an opponents attack against them, yet many Jedi felt that it encouraged aggression and domination in a fight - all though such statements did not stop many Jedi from practising it. Shien was adapted slightly into Djem So, which defended well against both melee and ranged, whilst instantly following through with an attack. Djem So practitioners press their assaults with force-enhanced strength to overwhelm their opponent. The characteristic attack of a Djem So practitioner was for the user to lift their lightsaber high over their heads before bringing it crashing down on their opponent. Barrier of Blades Defended the user from blasterfire and redirected some of the incoming blasts. Falling Avalanche An overhand power blow that crashed down upon an opponent with incredible force. Fluid Riposte A smooth transition from parrying an attack to a counterstrike. Shien Deflection Simultaneously deflect weapons fire and leap towards an opponent. Form VI - Niman The way of the Rancor - The Moderation/Diplomats form. Niman combines aspects from all previous forms so that it lacks any serious advantages over the other forms but also lacked any major disadvantages or drawbacks that the others had. Niman has a fairly relaxed focus on bladework but is still deemed deadly in the hands of a skilled practitioner. Niman encourages the use of force based attacks, such as telekinetic pushes and pulls, in synchronisation with with lightsaber attacks. Niman's success is dependant on the practitioners intention and creativity in combat. Niman provides a firm foundation for its practitioners to study Jar'Kai, a style of swordsplay that utilizes dual blades. Draw Closer It consisted of the duelist telekinetically seizing an opponent and pulling the enemy into the path of his/her blade. Pushing Slash The duelist would slash an opponent before blasting him aside with a Force push. Niman/Jar'Kai Twin Strike A duel-wielding strike that the character simultaneously swings both lightsabers to act as a strong-attack. Both lightsabers meet the target or object. Rising Whirlwhind A duelist swings his lightsabers about his body, creating a brilliant whirlwind. Form VII - Juyo / Vaapad The way of the Vornskr - The Ferocity form. Juyo is deemed the most vicious form of lightsaber combat, filled with both fury and malignant grace. It is said to be chaotic and erratic, with a heavy focus of offence. Many believe Juyo to be the most demanding of all the forms, and the most difficult, and is said to violate the 'there is no emotion, there is peace' tenant of the code. Juyo became a highly restricted form amongst the Jedi out of fear that it led the practitioner to the dark side. Eventually Vaapad was created to go alongside Juyo. It allowed the wielder to channel their own inner darkness into the duel and thus was explained more as a state of mind than a fighting style. Vaapad requires its practitioners to enjoy fighting and relish the feel of winning. They must accept the fury of their opponent and understand the requirement of a constant stream of force usage during combat. A barely contained explosion of force power is deemed essential. Vaapad practitioners demonstrate seemingly unconnected attacks and appear to wield many lightsabers at once due to the quickness of their movements. Like Juyo this is restricted and rarely practised amongst Jedi. Assured Strike Trading sheer power for a near-certainty of landing a hit. Vornskr's Ferocity Involved "ferocious" attacking of an opponent. Swift Flank The user leaped or dashed around an opponent to make a quick strike. The speed of the maneuver was intended to catch opponents off guard. Tempered Aggression Used to describe the ferocity of the Vaapad form, but with more control against succumbing to the dark side even in the heat of battle. Section 2 - Combat, Marks Of Contact Marks of Contact Sun djem The sun djem was the act of disarming the opponent, the objective usually being not to physically harm him/her. The classic Shii-Cho move, the Disarming Slash, was specialized towards executing the sun djem. Shiim The shiim was a more minute wound to an opponent by the edge of a lightsaber's blade. The shiim could be applied anywhere on the body, and was not specific to any zone. Cho mai The cho mai was the amputation an opponent's weapon-hand. Cho sun The cho sun was the amputation an opponent's weapon-arm. Cho mok The cho mok was the amputation an opponent's limb, such as a humanoid's arm or leg. Shiak The shiak was the act of stabbing an opponent. Sai cha The sai cha was the decapitation of the opponent. Being a sideswipe at an opponents side and neck, the sai cha corresponded with Zone 2 and 3 attacks. Sai tok The sai tok was the act of cutting an opponent in half, usually separating his or her legs from the torso at the waist, but vertical bisections corresponding with Zone 1 attacks were not unheard of. Mou kei The mou kei was an attack that dismembered an opponent through a circular motion of the lightsaber, aimed at the major limbs. The mou kei, being aimed at all major limbs, lashed out at multiple body zones. Darth Vader's dismemberment on Mustafar could be considered a triple cho mok, as it amputated both of his legs (zone 5/ 6) and his left arm (zone 3). Section 2 - Combat, Moves and Maneuvers Jung
The Jung was a 180 degree turn. Jung ma The Jung ma was a 360 degree spin, used to build momentum for an attack. Shun The Shun was a 360 degree spin, during which the lightsaber was held one-handed. Sai The Sai was the act of overleaping an attack at the legs. Flowing water The Flowing Water cut was a technique based on the principle of using the space created when the opponent withdrew their lightsaber offensively to one's own advantage. As the opponent pulled their lightsaber back from a bind, the user would follow it with their blade, in effect causing the opponent to pull the user's blade into themselves. Falling leaf The Falling Leaf cut was an ancient move that involved the user spinning and making a fast slash at an opponent standing behind them and then return to face the way they were before the maneuver. It was described as spinning one's feet to "slash from the sky". Dulon The Dulon was a lightsaber move where the hilt's pommel would be held at one's midsection with the blade thirty degrees up, and would be slashed at high velocity. The name dulon also referred to a solo lightsaber training. Kai-kan The Kai-kan was not a maneuver per se, but rather a reenactment of a prior lightsaber duel. Tràkata Pass The Blade The duelist deactivated his blade as he attacks, bypassing the opponent's block before igniting it into the hapless foe. Unbalancing Block The duelist caught the opponent's blade with his own before momentarily deactivating it, causing the opponent to stumble and leave himself open. Trispzest Spinning attack: The flying duelist would hover in one spot and spin wildly, lashing out at multiple opponents. Sokan High Ground Defense Usually involves environment, combatants made use of large amounts of terrain, trying to maneuver their opponents into vulnerable areas during the course of battles that involved Sokan techniques. Unhindered Charge Rapid movement towards the opponent, ignoring difficult terrain and obstacles. |

Section 3 - History, Timeline of Events
Section 3 - History, The Start of the Jedi Order The Start of the Jedi Order. Location: Tython, The Deep Core. Year: Roughly 25,783 BBY. The year 36,453 BBY; The Tho Yor appear and all ‘force sensitives’ are taken to Tython. There in the Je'daii were formed, to learn of this strange and mystic energy called "The Force. The Je’daii sought out Balance within the Force, following both the Bogan and the Ashla, the two Moons found orbiting Tython that represented both dark and light. Millenia passed before a splinter group of the Je'daii came forward, in roughly 25,783 BBY, and believed that Ashla was stronger than Bogan, and the better path to walk. They then left the Je'daii and their teachings and named themselves Jedi, forming a Jedi Council which consisted of the founding members: Jedi Masters Rajivari, Garon Jard, Cala Brin and Ters Sendon. These Jedi believed they were given command over the Force to assist those in need, and wished to destroy those who used Bogan and the Dark. However Master Rajivari decided to break away from the Jedi and encouraged his own followers to walk the path of Bogan instead. Due to the darksided nature of Rajivari's "True Dark Sons of Tython" the Jedi attacked them, and thus the Force Wars began. The Force Wars lasted over a decade before the Jedi were victorious, the True Dark Sons of Tython scattered. However the Balance of Tython had been compromised and the planet reacted badly, the ecosystem destroyed. The Jedi decided to leave Tython with all the remaining Je'daii texts and scriptures that remained. The Jedi left the Deep Core to instead journey to the Wild Space, a galaxy yet to be explored. They discovered a planet that was much like Tython had been before the Force Wars and so the Jedi colonized it and named it Ossus. There the Jedi founded an Academy, in seclusion where they devoted their time to the study of Ashla, and warnings agasint Bogan and the Dark. The Jedi purposely distanced themselves from the Galactic Republic, which at this point was newly formed. They welcomed members of other force traditions, merging their philosophies and they carried on some traditions of the Je'daii. As such they continued to craft their durasteel blades as part of the initiation ceremony, where they would imbue them with the Force. A man had appeared in the years just before the Jedi left Tython, with a weapon called a Forcesaber and the jedi used this technology and advanced it using lazer technology, thus creating the Lightsaber. Whilst the Jedi mainly used the durasteel blades they continued to work secretly upon the creation of the Lightsaber. The Jedi joined the Republic in 24,953 BBY, but remained isolated on Ossus. The Order began to welcome others to Ossus and their leaders began to be influenced by those who had been in the galactic affairs for longer than they themselves had. The greatest influence was from a group of Caamasi whose teachings eventually led to the Jedi Orders views on justice and the role of peacekeeper. The Jedi High Council began to assert their authority over the other Order members, limiting their individuality and who, effectively, could join. At this time, 24,500 BBY, an exiled Kashi Mer named Xendor gained a following on Ossus and eventually broke peacefully from the Order where he founded his own academy on Lettow. Many of the Orders members followed Xendor, and thusly claimed that the "Legions of Lettow" as they became known were too close to Bogan studies. This became known as the Great Schism. The Jedi forced Xendor and his followers into conflict and the Jedi formed an army, with this they sought to crush the Legion of Lettow. Xendor, however, was the first to attack, landing ships on Ossus. The Legion were driven to the Core by the Jedi during the conflict. As the war broke out Xendor tried to spread propaganda about the Jedi throughout the republic, warning against the Jedi and their "false peacekeeping" ways. However, the Republic saw through the attempts of propaganda and thusly began to aid the Jedi in their efforts against Xendor and the Legions. As the war waged on conflict began on other planets, such as Coruscant, until finally Jedi Master Awdrysta Pina confronted Xendor at the Battle of Columus, therein slaying him and leaving the Legion of Lettow leaderless. Xendors lover, Arden Lyn, had her heart slowed by Jedi Master Awdrysta Pina before Xendor and the Legion were defeated, using Morichro, and she passed into the Force. In the months that past the Legion was driven away by the Jedi like the True Dark Sons of Tython had been, and the Great Schism ended. The conflict lasted one year. Section 3 - History, The Force Wars The Force Wars on Tython. Year: 25,000 BBY. This was a 100 year conflict that took place on the deep core planet of Tython. By this time in the galaxy two firm beliefs of the Force had become apparent and conflict arose between the followers of Ashla, also known as the Light side, and Bogan, also known as the Dark side. In the aftermath of the conflict the Disciples of Ashla had won the battles and vowed to bring peace and order to the galaxy by founding a monastic society of guardians upon Ossus. These were the first Jedi. The three proposed forerunners of the Order were the Order of Dai Bendu, Chatos academy and The Followers of Palawa. The Order of Dai Bendu were chosen to found it. Section 3 - History, First Great Schism The First Great Schism Year: 24,500 BBY This was the origin of the first split between the Light and Dark Jedi. The schism was formed by Jedi who believed that power could be achieved through emotion rather than meditation taught by Jedi Masters. From this the tension rose and the Dark Jedi were exiled and led by Dark Jedi Xendor and Arden Lyn. Together they established the Legions of Lettow which practised the Dark side. The Legion of Lettow waged war with the Jedi Order, one famous battle was the Battle of Colomus which occured just before Xendor and Arden Lyns death. Xendor was slain and Jedi Awdrysta Pina stopped Ardens heart with Morichro. Section 3 - History, Second Great Schism The Second Great Schism Year: 7,003 BBY This all began when a group of ambitious Jedi Knights discovered they could use the Force to bend and twist life itself. The Council discovered this and exiled the Jedi. In fury the exiles used the powers they had learned to create an army of animalistic Dark side creatures known as "Korriban Zombies". Many grueling battles ensued between the Jedi Order and the exiles. The exiles and their creatures were easily beaten back each time by the Jedi and by the second half of the war the exiles could see no chance of winning. Refusing to surrender the exiles pooled all of their resources and knowledge together, creating even more Dark sided creatures and, aided by the monstrous creatures the Leviathan the Dark Jedi's armies were replenished as their opponants were beaten down by the Leviathan creatures. Luckily the Jedi were still able to withstand the fearsome attacks of the new Dark Jedi, and were able to push them back to the world of Corbos, where the final battle occured. After bombardments and vigorous combat, the Dark Jedi were made to surrender. After gathering up all the last Dark Jedi the Republic were prepared to execute every single one of them, however on the Jedi's mercy and wisdom, the Dark Jedi were banished into the unknown regions in hopes that the Dark Jedi would see the errors of their ways. The Hundred Year Darkness was over and peace was restored. However, the banished Dark Jedi exiting hyperspace in the unknown regions came upon an unknown planet with and inhabitant species called the Sith. The Sith'ari, King of the Sith race, was outstanded by the Dark Jedi, seeing their powers and advanced technology. With the help of the Force the Dark Jedi soon became Gods on the planet, and rulers of the Sith people. Ajunta Pall, the most powerful of the Dark Jedi, became the Dark Lord of the Sith. As years passed giant monuments and temples were built in the Dark Lord's honour, the Valley of the Lords was created and so began the illusive dark reign of the Sith. As time went on the Sith species died out and the term Sith was known as those Dark siders originating from Ajunta Pall. Section 3 - History, Great Hyperspace War The Great Hyperspace War Year: 5,000 BBY This is an ancient battle between the Republic and the Sith Empire. During the isolated height of the Sith Empire two Republic hyperspace explorers came upon Korriban looking for a new profitable hyperspace route. The travellers, Gav and Jori, unfortunately arrived on planet during a tense time. The Sith Lords Naga Sadow and Ludo Kresh were, at the time of the travellers arrival, in the midst of a duel for mastery over the Sith as Dark Lord. Upon landing Gav and Jori were captured and brought before Kressh and Sadow. Deemed as spies Kressh sentenced them to death, however Sadow dreamed to conquor the galaxy for the Sith Empire, so he sent Gav and Jori Daragon offworld behind the backs of the other Sith, planting evidence. Republic agents rescued them. Later Sadow visited the Daragons on Khar Shian, pretending to be their ally. Sadow trained Gav in the arts of Sith sorcery, hoping to spark a war with the Republic. However Ludo Kressh soon discovered Sadows suberfuge and launched an attack on Sadow's Sith Fortress. When Kressh arrived with his fleet Sadow told Jori to run from the battle and warn the Republic of the invasion. All had gone according to Sadow's plans. When Jori left into hyperspace Sadow launched a huge armada against Kressh and presumably defeating him. With his competition 'dead' Sadow united the Sith military and made himself Dark Lord. Following the homing beacon he left on Jori's ship, Sadow launched an invasion on the Galactic Republic. Many battles entailed and Sadows forces swiftly overwhelmed the Republic Navy. However as the battles continued the Sith Empire slowly began to lose more and more battles. Realising the tide of war had turned against him Sadow abandoned his forces and retreated back to the Sith Empire, but awaiting for him was Ludo Kressh alive and ready to ambush Sadow. A battle began upon Korriban, both Sadow and Kressh's forces in frenzy. However the battle was soon over when one of Sadow's vessels slammed into Kressh's ship, killing him. Luckily the Galactic Republic arrived on the scene, catching the Sith in a crossfire. Sadow sacrificed the remains of his fleet to escape. Once Naga sent his fleet towards coruscant he went into his sphere to meditate on the battle and, using Force Illusion, he made his army seem bigger. But this did not stop the republic from winning. After Naga betrayed Gav by fleeing the battle, Gav warned the Republic to flee AWAY from the sun; afterwards Gav sent his ship towards it to explode it, and Naga's Sphere in the process. However, Naga escaped from the explosion, yet the explosion killed Gav. Naga Sadow and his remaining Massassi Warriors fled to the Yavin system on the moon of Yavin IV. There he placed his body into stasis while his servants slowly degenerated into barbarianism. The Jedi and the Galactic Republic were victorious. Section 3 - History, Third Great Schism The Third Great Schism Year: 4,250 BBY Jedi underwent into a civil war on Coruscant which marked the beginning of the Third Great Schism. Not much is known on the event but Dark Jedi were defeated and retreated to the Core World system of Vultar. There they found ancient technology, one being the Cosmic Turbine. Unable to control the devices, due to the Dark siders ignorance, they ended up annihilating themselves and the entire Vultar System, marking the Vultar Cataclysm. Section 3 - History, The Freedon Nadd Uprising The Freedon Nadd Uprising Year: 3,998 BBY This was a series of battles fought during the Old Sith Wars, that occured on the planet Onderon. The uprising began when, in an attempt to cleanse Onderon of the Dark Side, adter the Dark reign of the Sith Lord Freedon Naad, a fallen Jedi who creased control of the planet Onderon. Eventually he was killed during a series of campaigns. Time later whilst cleansing the planet the Jedi confiscated the remains of Naga Sadow. However during Queen Amonea's funeral the Cult of Naddists rose up on the planet. Naddists gained the upper hand by gaining the remenants of the Dark Lord and capturing Jedi Master Arca Jeth, taking control of the city Izis. However, soon after the Republic arrived with its fleets and ended the uprising, and feed Jedi Master Arca Jeth. After the Naddists were put down, Satal and Aleema Keto arrived on Onderon, gaining valuable knowledge on the Sith including texts and artifacts of Nadds and Omnins Spirit. They used this to establish the Krath cult. Section 3 - History, War Against Exar Kun War Against Exar Kun Year: 4,000 BBY The Great Sith War saw the Sith rise up once again in opposition to the Jedi Knights. This began during the Freedon Nadd uprising which planted seeds for the Krath to grow in strength. Exar Kun, a Jedi Padawan, began to investigate the lore of the Ancient Sith, against the wishes of his Master, Vodo-Siosk Baas. He fled the Jedi Order and was lured to the Dark Side of the Force by the spirit of Freedon Nadd himself. On Yavin IV, Kun discovered a wealth of Sith treasures, and set out to become the Dark Lord of the Sith. He confronted Ulic Qel-Droma on Cinnigar, where the former Jedi had also fallen to the Dark Side after battling the Keto's and the Krath. Rather than have the two great warriors destroy each other in battle the ancient Sith Spirits declared Exar Kun the Dark Lord of the Sith and Qel-Droma to be his apprentice. Together they launched a series of campaigns against the Old Republic and the Jedi, eventually reaching Coruscant. There Exar Kun killed his former Master and ordered his followers to murder their old Masters also. Kun and Qel-Dromathen launched an assault on Ossus in an effort to destroy the Jedi Archives. Kun was defeated on Ossus and he flet to Yavin IV while Qel-Droma was severed of his connection to the Force by Nomi Sunrider. He agreed to lead the combined forces of the Republic and the Jedi to Yavni IV to take battle on Exar Kun. At Yavin IV, the Jedi won the battle but at a great cost. They had to unite as a single force, and wiped out much of the jungle on Yavin IV in order to destroy Kun's body. Kun, however, managed to escape to the spiritual plane by draining life energy from the enslaved Massassi. Now Exar Kun was dead the Jedi and Republic sought to clear up the last of the war with the Sith, Mandalorian allies routed. The sole threat left was the Krath. The Republic lay siege to the Krath base worlds ending with the assault on Empress Teta. The Republic won and the Koros system was in their control again. Section 3 - History, The Great Hunt The Great Hunt Year: 3,995 BBY Following the end of the Great Sith War, many Jedi were sent out into various parts of the galaxy to help with the restoration efforts after the war. However, an alarming number of Jedi had disappeared and only after their savage remains were found was it apparent Terentateks were behind the killings. Terentateks were creatures warped by the Sith Magic of Exar Kun. These creatures fed on the blood of force-sensitives and in turn were resistant to then Force. Terentateks were known to be fond of areas tainted by the Darkside and the places touched by the Sith Wars were ideal grounds for them. Due to their threat the Jedi made extermination of these their highest priority. With the majority of the hunts never truly successful, as the Terentateks kept resurfacing, the trio of Knights, Duron Qel-Droma, Shaela Nurr and GuunHan Saresh were sent to finish off the hunt, knowing that these three Jedi would overcome the Terentateks on the final hunt. The hunt lasted for several years and the three Jedi were sent to the Sith world of Korriban to destroy what they believed to be the last known Terentatek. However, upon Korriban the Darkside effected their bond as a trio and the three went their seperate ways. As a result Guun was killed in the Shadowlands, Duron killed in the Shyrack cave and Shaela killed in the tomb of Naga Sadow. Section 3 - History, The Mandalorian Wars The Mandalorian Wars Year: 3,976 BBY The Mandalorian Wars marked the rise of the Mandalorian Neo-crusader clans under the leadership of Mandalore the Ultimate. The Mandalorians set out to conquer the Republic and take up positions of leaders of the Galaxy. The Jedi Order later entered the war, keen on avoiding conflict and attempting to guide the war from afar, scared of the Jedi coming into chaos like in the Sith Wars. However some Jedi disagreed with the Councils resolve on the matter. Jedi Knight, Revan, renamed the "Revanchist", lead a faction of Jedi who wished to take a more proactive role in the war. Many who left the fight were among Malak and the Jedi Exile. The last battle ensued on the planet of Malachor V. Revan, arriving late to the conflict, called upon the irresistable Darkside energies of the planet to augment his power and defeat single handedly the Mandalore leader. Furthermore, the other battling Jedi could not resist the call of the Darkside and in turn too fell to the Darkside. As the Dark Jedi fought, they pushed the Mandalorians closer towards Malachor V. The Mandalorians had fallen into Revans and the exiles' trap. The Jedi Exile commanded Bao-Dur to activate the Mass Shadow Generator. They watched in horror as Mandalorian and Republic vessels were sucked into a gasping vortex of gravity. During the ensuing cataclysm countless ships were pulled into orbit and destroying the planet almost to its very core. In this event there were few survivors, but the Mandalorians admitted defeat and surrendered. Winning the war, Revan and Malak were seen as heroes, but as the teachings of the Sith loomed over them they disappeared with the rest of the Revanchist Jedi into the unknown regions. Section 3 - History, The Jedi Civil War The Jedi Civil War Year: 3,959 BBY Leaving into the Unknown Regions, Revan sought to find a mythical battlestation known as the Star Forge, a creation of the Rakata infinite Empire. Revan set on a quest to worlds to find Star Maps to reveal the Star Forge's location on Rakata Prime. Soon after, Revan returned with Malak into known Space with a fearsome army and with the power of the Darkside and the Sith with them. Revan was the new Dark Lord of the Sith, and Malak his apprentice. A second war raged and Revans seemingly limitless forces barraged the Republic. It was said thsat Revan was doing this, embracing the Darkside and waging war, to protect the galaxy from a greater threat to be the True Sith. During one fateful battle, a small Jedi strike team led by Bastila Shan infiltrated Darth Revan's command ship to capture the Dark Lord. During the caputure Darth Malak, aboard a separate ship, saw the ability to destroy his Master and his Jedi enemies in one foul swoop, unleashing fire upon Revan's ship. The Jedi managed to escape with Revan's body. However now Malak was the Dark Lord, or so it seemed, and he carried on his old masters quest to dominate the Galaxy, but he was ignorant to Revan's true goal. Malak had become insane into tracking down Bastila. Finally on orbit around Taris, Malak unleashed an ambush over Bastila's ship the Endar Spire. Onboard was also the now amnesiac Revan unknown to his true identity. Bastila managed to escape the attack in an escape pod as later did Carth Onasi and Revan. On Taris below, Bastila was captured by a Swoop Gang and, sought on killing Bastila, Malak ordered the destruction of Taris. Ships bombarded the planet however Bastila, Revan and his companions were able to escaoe. Leaving to Dantooine, a safe haven for Jedi, they learnt of the Star Forge and the High Council commissioned Bastila, Revan and their companions out to seek the Star Maps to find it. During the quest they were captured again by Malak aboard the Leviathan. Here, Malak brought startling truth and revealed to the rest of them who Revan was. The High Council had wiped Revans memory and manipulated it so he would serve the Jedi to defeat Malak. Upon escaping Malak, Revan was eager to complete his mission and destroy Malak. Eventually they found the Star Forge and launched an attack against it. Revan boarded the Star Forge and killed Darth Malak, scoring victory for the Republic. However, soon again Revan disappeared oncemore and new Sith Lords took his place. Section 3 - History, The First Jedi Purge The First Jedi Purge Year: 3,954 BBY After Revans disappearance Sith Lords Darth Traya, Darth Sion and Darth Nihilus took control of the Sith Empire, forming the Sith Triumvirate. Soon Traya was exiled by Sion and Nihilus combined and they both used their power to hunt out the Jedi and kill them one by one. Notable events were the conclave of Katarr where Nihilus destroyed the planet with hundreds of Jedi upon. The remaining High Councillors of the Jedi, Vrook Lamar, Kevar, Zez-Kai Ell and Lonna Vash decided to take the Jedi into exile, hoping to lull the Sith into a false sense of victory and reveal themselves. By 3,951 BBY almost all the Jedi had been eliminated. One survivor known as the Jedi exile had returned from the Unknown regions. From arriving he was tracked by the Sith Lord Sion narrowly evading capture each time their paths met. With Kreia, Mandalore and many other allies the Exile managed to defeat Nihilus in Telos IV then leaving to Malachor V to the Trayus academy to confront Sion, eventually killing him too. The Exile then made her way to confront Darth Traya on formerly allied Kreia. After a fierce battle the Exile defeated the Sith Lord, but in an act of mercy spared her life. Traya refused to give up and attacked the exile again., However once more the Exile defeated her and in doing so redeemed Kreia, bringing her back to the light. Before dying, Kreia gave information on Revans locations in the Unknown regions and about the fates of the Exiles allies. Shortly after Bao-Durs remote reactivated the Mass Shadow Generator, completely destroying the planet. With the Sith defeated and the Exile restoring the Jedi Order, the Exile left the Republic and began her journey to find Revan in the unknown regions. Section 3 - History, The Great War The Great War Year: ??? BBY Three Hundred Years after Revans departure the True Sith revealed themselves. Under the leadership of their Emperor they invaded the Republic and the Great War escalated. After years of fighting the Sith sacked Coruscant and forced the Republic to give up many worlds under a dark treaty. The Jedi left to the planet of Tython, the origin of their order, recommiting to their timeless principles, helping to restore balance and bring peace and order. Section 3 - History, The Cold War The Cold War Year: ??? BBY After the Treaty of Coruscant was signed, forcing the Republic to give up many of its worlds, the Republic and Sith Empire existed as two separate governments in a state of cold war. A series of proxy wars entailed as each side was not fully commited to go to into full scale galactic war. Section 3 - History, New Sith Wars The New Sith Wars Year: 2,000 BBY A Product of the second Sith Civil War, sparked by Darth Ruin, the Sith named Kaan steped up, defeating his enemies in the Sith and founded the Brotherhood of Darkness, Kaan and his armies brought the Republic and Sith to their knees until there came a time when the Jedi regrouped and formed the legendary Army of Light led by Lord Hoth. The Jedi took the war to the Siths central worlds, knocking them back and ultimately dominating the Sith. From here the Sith regrouped onto the world of Ruusan under the leadership of Kaan. Hoth and the Army of Light followed Kaan there and seven fierce battles ensued. On the seventh battle, Kaan in near defeat unleashed a thought bomb, cleverly taught to him by Bane, killing every single Force User on the planet except for Bane who would instate the Sith oncemore under the vise of the Rule of Two, planning the ultimate revenge upon the Jedi. Section 3 - History, Post-Ruusan Reformation Post-Ruusan Reformation Year: ??? BBY With the Sith thought to be extinct, the Jedi believed that they had at last forged a long-lasting Peace in the galaxy. With the Reformation, both the Jedi and the Republic renounced their militaries and instead used the smaller judical forces to help the Jedi keep peace. The Jedi also enforced strict guidelines to ensure the Council would avoid making mistakes of the past. They renounced ties from the outside world, wealth, material possessions and even families. Training was made on a one to one basis and centralized on Coruscant and voiding all temptation of forbidden knowledge by effectively writing it out of the Galactic history. Section 3 - History, The Phantom Menace The Phantom Menace Year: 32 BBY The Presence of the Sith once again became known to the Jedi. The Sith Lord, Darth Sidious, secretly contacted the members of the Trade Federation, persuading Nute Gunray to blockade the planet of Naboo.; The current Chancellor dispatched Jedi Knight Qui-Gon Jinn and his apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi to negitiate. All did not go as planned as the Federation tried to kill the two Jedi who were forced to hide in an invasion craft going down on Naboo below. Here they found a huge army ready to assault Naboo. Finding a gungan named Jar-Jar, the Jedi were taken to the underwater city of Otoh Gunga, here the Jedi were allowed to take a craft to the capital city of Naboo to warn the Queen, Padmé Amidala. Theed was already being held hostage, along with the Queen. The Jedi managed to free her and escape the planet. Amidala realised that the Senate could not solve the problem so she and the Jedi returned and defeated the Federation with help from the Gungan Grand Army and a young boy named Anakin Skywalker who they saved from Tatooine. However, Darth Sidious' apprentice Darth Maul arrived on the scene. Maul, Jinn and Kenobi began a climatic lightsaber duel. Kenobi's Master Jinn was killed. Stung by his master's death Kenobi launched an attack at Maul, cutting him clean in half. However, the Jedi knew that there was still one more Sith out there, unaware of the identity of Darth Sidious. Section 3 - History, The Clone Wars The Clone Wars Year: 22BBY - 19BBY This was a great conflict between the Galactic Republic with the help of the Jedi Knights, against the Confederancy of Independant systems backed in the shadows by the Sith and fronted by the fallen Jedi Count Dooku. The conflict was named after the clone troopers, created by the Kaminoans for the Galactic Republic to combat against the CIS's battle droids. Many great conflicts arose between each side, the largest war in galactic history. It was unknown to the galaxy that the entire war was the mastery of the evil Sith Lords, under command of Darth Sidious and his alias as the Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. By 19 BBY the Jedi, during a mission to save the Chancellor, killed Count Dooku and shortly after Grevious was killed on the planet Utapau, marking the end of the war. With the war over, this would lead into Palpatine bringing the Sith secretly into power under the guise of a New Galactic Empire. Section 3 - History, Order 66 and the Great Purge Order 66 and the Great Jedi Purge Year: 19 BBY After Sidious had masterminded the war, the final plan was luring the Jedi into a trap. By spreading them thin over the galaxy, Palpatine would launch an attack on the Jedi Temple. However the Jedi discovered this too late. The arresting party led by Mace Windu was thrwarted. Palpatine killed three Jedi Masters and underwent a duel with Mace Windu, only to be cut short when Anakin arrived to save Palpatine so he could prevent Padmé from dying. Anakin killed Mace Windu and from then on was dubbed Darth Vader, having fallen to the Darkside of the Force. From here on Palpatine enacted Order 66. Galactic wide, Clone commanders recieved orders to kill their Jedi Generals. The massacre spread throughout the galaxy like wildfire and within hours thousands of Jedi were dead. The last assault on the Jedi was Operation Knightfall led by Dark Vader. Assaulting and sacking the Jedi Temple, killing all the Jedi and reducing the Temple to rubble. This marked the rise of the Empire from here on, however over the years of the Empires ascendancy the Jedi were hunted and killed down. Jedi were few in number and only a dozen were left spread think in the galaxy, forced into self exile. Section 3 - History, The Empire The Empire Year: 19 BBY - 1 ABY Known as the dark times, Emperor Palpatine ruled a strict government over the Galaxy. It was held in a grip of fear and many worlds were forced to either pay heed to the Empire, or stay out of its way. Many Senators agreed with the change, however a handful did not. Led by Mon Mothma, the Galactic Rebel Alliance, a beacon of hope for the galaxy under the oppressed rule of the Emperor. The Alliance became a strong force and war ensued between it and the Galactic Empire. Whilst the fighting occured, Obi-Wan Kenobi, survivor of the Jedi Purge, was ordered by Jedi Master Yoda to watch over the son of Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker. Obi-Wan eventually trained Luke Skywalker in the arts of the Jedi, in hope that he would bring peace back to the galaxy. 0 BBY, Obi-Wan Kenobi surrendered to the Force during a fight with Darth Vader, and years after Master Yoda died also. It was left up to Luke, Yoda's last student, and the Rebel Alliance, to bring peace once more. Galactic Civil War Ensued. Section 3 - History, First Galactic Civil War The First Galactic Civil War Year: 2 ABY This marked the galactic scale war fought by the oppresive Galactic Empire and the Galactic Alliance. It was only decades after the rise of the Empire when the Rebel leaders signed the Corellian Treaty and issued the Declaration of Rebellion. Many battles ensued, however it was not until the fateful battle of Yavin when Rebel Pilot Luke Skywalker destroyed the first death star and here the Alliance became a creditable threat to the Empire. Conflict continued until 4 ABY and the decisive Battle of Endor when the Alliance defeated the Imperial Militay, destroying the second Death Star and killing the Emperor, Darth Vader and Imperial senion councillors in one swift move. In the chaos the Empire began to gradually decay and fragment until reduced to a small remenant. Meanwhile the Galactic Alliance completed their goals and grew into the New Republic. Luke Skywalker, discovering his Jedi Heritage, fulfilled his destiny and resurrected the Jedi Order. Section 3 - History, Return of the Jedi Return of the Jedi Year: 5 ABY After the Civil War, Luke Skywalker used his new found Jedi abilities to set out to reestablish the Jedi Order, by training a new generation of Jedi Knights. During the great Jedi Purge, the Emperor had done well to rid nearly all information and history of the Jedi, so Luke set out to expand the Order, with the help of Kyle Katarn and various other New Order Jedi, they set out to discover relics of the Jedi's past. Due to Luke's lack of knowledge of the old Order, the new Order was extremely unorthadox, no traditional robes, and the Jedi were taken at older ages. The Jedi Praexum was situated on the moon of Yavin IV. The Jedi had returned. Section 3 - History, Vuzzahn Vong War Yuuzhan Vong War Year: 25 ABY A species had arrived on the borders of the Galaxy, absent to the Force. They declared war on the unknown Galaxy, sparking the largest threat since the Empire. Many Jedi died fighting to stop the Vong from dominating the Galaxy. Essentially, the Vong had scouted the galaxy long before. Emperor Palpatine knew of the impending attack of the Vong which sparked another justification to create the grand Imperial Army. However it was the new Republic which faced the warlord Species, and grave battle ensued for four years. Eventually the fight was brought to Coruscant, where Luke Skywalker managed to kill the Yuuzhan Vong leader and the Republic Fleet overcame the Vongs. Warmaster Nas Choka ordered the Vong to surrender and were placed under Zonama Seots jurisdiction. A victory for the New Republic, In the aftermath, Sekot revealed itself to be the seed of a long dead Yuuzhan Vong world. One of the terms of surrender was that the Vong would aid in the reconstruction of Coruscant. Once completed, the Vong were called from across the galaxy to meet on Zonama Sekot and with it Sekot and the Vong disappeared into the unknown regions once again to live in peace. [Again, this is very basic in places - so expand where necessary] |

Section 4 - Force Theory, Overview What is the force? The Force, by its nature, is one of the most enigmatic concepts of the galaxy. It can empower an individual. It can both heal and harm. It can be a boon or detriment. Depending on which philosophy of the Force one follows, the interpretation of what the Force is and what it can do varies widely. Of all the Force traditions in the galaxy, the Jedi Order probably has the best understanding of the Force. Even within the ranks of the Jedi, the Force takes on different roles and works in different ways. While they might seem similar in scope, the beliefs behind these interpretations can be vastly dissimilar. Force Applications: Having knowledge of the Force provides a good foundation to being an outstanding Jedi, But, having knowledge is only half of what is required to fulfilling your purpose. Being able to take that knowledge and apply it in everyday life completes the expectations of a Jedi. Everything that a Jedi can do with the Force can be broken down into three broad categories, alter, control, and sense. Some abilities work in such a way that they span two or even all three categories. These abilities are not widely known, especially the ones that fall under all three groups, and the secrets to learning these powers have been locked away, to be revealed only to those who truly need them. Section 4 - Force Theory, Alter Alter Alter powers are undeniably the most easily observable but lest understood applications of the Force known by the Jedi Order. That is not to say that the Jedi know very little about this area, but a more approriate phrase would be that the true nature of this use is still highly speculated. Using the Force to affect anything outside the body or the senses is considered an Alter power, since it is used to alter someone or something. Control abilities cannot be considered in the Alter category because they affect only the Force-user's body and nothing beyond that. Sense abilities do not make any effort to manipulate anything within the Force-user's environment, only detect it. Alter abilities have a variety of applications, from moving objects without physically touching them to creating a sound on the other side of the room to forming an illusion of something that is not really there. Several Force traditions, including the Sith Order and the Zeison Sha, rely heavily on Alter applications of the Force to accomplish much of what they do. The theories behind how Alter abilities work are as numerous as the theories of the Force. Science cannot explain them. The most widely accepted theory is that the Force reacts to a Force-user's strength of will, allowing the individual to apply the Force with their mind to some other space or object. Moving objects through the Force involves stretching out one's feelings through the Force to mentally seize the object in question and exerting one's will on it so that it preforms as they wishes. Opponents of the Living Force question how this is possible on non-living things, such as weapons, and starfighters. But, the official answer from the Jedi states that the Force is created by all living things and permeates the galaxy, even around non-living things. An individual lifts a starfighter off the ground by mastering the space around it and not thinking of it as an lifeless object but as part of the greater universe. At the same time, using powers where the Force is used as a telekinetic attack, such as when the Jedi pushes an opponent away through the Force, calls upon the same basic technique of stretching out their feelings. But instead of seizing the opponent, he shoves against the enemy and propels him backward. Another common application is known as the mind trick, where a Jedi changes a person's perceptions or plants a suggestion into another's mind. Pushing the suggestion or desired effect through the Force, the Force-user superimposes his will onto the target's mind. Accomplishing this task might be more difficult with some races, such as the Hutts or the Toydarians. Many Jedi scholars believe that this is due to the race's physiologies being drastically different than most other races in the galaxy. Other's believe that this could be because members of those races have a lower midi-chlorian count than what other races typically have. Healing other creatures is one of the least common but most valued applications of the Force. Documented cases reveal that the Force can be used to close wounds, cure diseases, detoxify poisons, and heal other ailments. Despite the fact that race's anatomies differ widely, the Force helps tend to the sick and wounded, leading many Jedi to support the notion that the Force values life above all else. This also explains why healing works on different races when the mind trick does not, since the mind trick does not preform any actions to help support life. A rare but known technique is the ability to create illusions through the Force. Through many people speculate on various methods to achieve this task, including implanting the illusion into the minds of those the Force-user wants to see it, a number of Force-users, that have mastered this precise state that they envision the image they want to create in their mind and push it out through the Force to manifest at the desired location. Both theories are sound with caveat that neither is grounded in science. Section 4 - Force Theory, Control Control The abilities that fall under the Control category are those that involve tapping into abilities hidden within one's body and spirit to expand and enhance what can already be done or to open new doors to talents that the Force-user did not originally have. Force powers and talents that improve a Force-user's speed, strength, or combat prowess fall under this category as well as healing one's own wounds. Allowing the Force to manipulate the body and tis systems is probably one of the most easily understood applications of the Force and one of the easiest to master. In fact, most other Force traditions beside the Jedi, such as the Matukai, have mastered Control abilities to a better extent than the Jedi and are able to do far more with their bodies than some of the greatest Jedi Masters. Using the Force in this capacity requires more than just channeling it through the body. Knowing how the body works and its limitations is key to mastering Control abilities. Countless incidents have been documented where anxious Jedi younglings have tried to do too much at one time and injured themselves with broken limbs and strained muscles in the process Like with any other lessons, starting small is the best approach, Also, knowing where to apply the Force is important to achieve the maximum result. A Jedi wishing to leap to a ledge several stories higher should know to focus the Force on certain muscles to reach the desired height. Section 4 - Force Theory, Sense Sense
While some would argue that Sense abilities actually apply to improving the body and are more appropriately placed with Control, the truth is that Sense powers expand one's awareness and ability to perceive one's surroundings in more ways than just by sight and sound. Since Sense powers deal entirely with perception and awareness, they deserve to be classified in their own category. Force-using organizations such as the Baran Do are known to master Sense abilities to levels beyond some of the more prominent traditions, including the Jedi Order. Depending on your outlook on the Force, how Sense abilities work can be approached from two different angles, internally or externally. The internal theory states that the abilities exhibited by a Force-user are a result of applying the Force to your own sensory organs to enhance the way they work. The external theory asserts that those same abilities result from the Force-sensitive individual picking up signals from other life forms through the Force. Looking at the internal theory, Sense abilities increase the efficacy of one's sensory organs, passing new information on to the brain for interpretation. Sometimes, it involves opening the eyes to locate an object outside a person's normal sight range or to examine details too small for the naked eye to perceive. Other times, it allows the ear to detect sounds whose frequencies are too high or low for normal hearing or hear sounds so soft that even electronic equipment can barely detect them And at other times, the Force opens the mind to perceive signals in other spectrum's not normally allowed by the mind, such as picking up other people's thoughts, transmitting one's own thoughts through the Force to another person halfway across the galaxy, or perceiving disturbances in the Force caused by the sudden extermination of life on a massive scale. In these situations, applying the Force to a specific sensory organ is all that is needed. Just a small application is enough to achieve the desired effect. While no documented cases exist of Force-induced blindness or deafness, pushing too much of the Force on one single area is highly discouraged. Taking a closer look at the external theory, Sense abilities do not truly enhance the individual's senses. However, the person stretches outward through the Force to look for indications of other life forms around him and what they are doing. No power is applied to the Jedi's eyes, ears, or any of his other senses. Instead, the signals broadcasted by other living beings are delivered through the Force to his brain to be interpreted as the mind would normally process sights and sounds received through normal means. As with the internal theory, not much of the Force is required to use those abilites but one should not overdo it. |

Section 5 - Force in Practice, Force Regimens Force Regimens. Force regimens are training techniques used by the Jedi, the Sith, and other Force traditions to hone their skills and enhance their sensitivity to the Force. Even Jedi Masters, who have spent years working to achieve a level of Force mastery, that others cannot, still meditate on a regular basis. Force regimens are ritualistic exercises that Force-users can perform during their downtime to keep themselves at peak performance. Awaken Force Sensitivity. This training regimen is used to awaken another character to the larger world of Force sensitivity. You and the beneficiary of this regimen practice meditation, quieting your minds and listening to the Force. Eyes of the Force. This regimen trains you to sense images that you cannot normally see by reading the surface thoughts of others. During this regimen an assistant holds a two-dimensional image viewer so that you see the images being displayed on the screen. As the image viewer cycles through different images of common objects, you must read the surface thoughts of the assitant to determine what image is being displayed on the screen at that time. Oxygen Bottle. This difficult regimen trains you to master environmental manipulation through the Force. You must first empty a glass bottle of air, creating a perfect vaccum inside. Then you must allow only oxygen to slip past the seal created by the Force, eventually filling the bottle with pure oxygen before placing the vac-seal stopper. This regimen requires you to use the Force in a nearly molecular level, as well as the Sense aspect of the Force to determine what moelcules are making their way into the bottle. Telekinetic Practice. This regimen hones your skill with the Alter aspect of the Force and enhances telekinetic precision. You begin by placing a deep bowl on the ground, with an orb at the bottom of the bowl. First, you must use the Force to hold the bowl perfectly still and pin it to the ground. Then you roll the ball slowly up the side of the bowl, keeping it in contact with the bowl at all times, until it reaches the upper rim. The orb is then held in place for 5 minutes, and must remain perfectly still. You then roll the orb slowly back to the bottom of the bowl, moving it with the Force and not allowing the orb to move under gravity's power. Quiet the Mind. This regimen trains you to block out distractions and stray thoughts. It requires little more than finding a quiet, secluded spot and slipping into a meditative trance to clear your mind of doubt, questions, fear, and the chaos of the galaxy. Jedi use this technique to open themselves to the flow of the Force, allowing them to see distant places and events. Ancients' Instructions - We are not seen because we are not there. Place your mind where you would be. Leave no trace, no scent, no hint of your passing. What the senses perceive means nothing if the mind does not perceive it. Remove 'self' from yourself, and you can walk outside of your opponents perception. You will not be soon. Section 5 - Force in Practice, Core Force Powers Core Force Powers The Core powers were the first powers a Jedi learned, and directly affected his own body or objects without actually harming or benefiting anything, excluding Force Push as it can be used against enemies. Force Speed Rank: Jedi Padawan + Force Speed was a Force power that allowed the user to maintain sprinting speeds for a brief time. The power also apparently enabled the user to run for extended distances with no visible signs of fatigue. Force Cloak Rank: Jedi Knight + Force users with this rare ability could use the Force to photokinetically bend light around themselves, making them invisible to others. Force Concealment Rank: Jedi Knight + Force Concealment was a power that was used by highly skilled Force-Sensitives to mask their Force alignment, their ability to use the Force or even their entire presence from other Force-Sensitives. Force Sense Rank: Jedi Initiate + Force Sense was one of the most basic Force abilities for a Jedi. It could be used to feel another being's feelings, the future, ripples in the Force caused by momentous or traumatic events, impending danger and the presence of the Darkside. Farsight Rank: Jedi Knight + Farsight is the ability to gain vague impressions of events happening in other places or times using the Force. These visions focus on strong imagery and emotions. The future is always in motion, however, and is thus subject to change. Force Empathy Rank: Jedi Knight + Force Empathy was a Force power that related to Force Sense but involved picking up impressions of an individuals emotional state. Force Sight Rank: Jedi Initiate + Force Sight was a basic Force ability, perhaps related to Force Sense. It enhances the bearers visual and spatial perception even in the dark or behind walls. Telekinesis Rank: Jedi Initiate + Telekinesis was a neutral ability that most Force-Sensitives had. With it they could lift objects according to their concentration and move them, hovering the item in any direcition. This ability was the base for Force Pull, Force Throw and Force Push. Force Jump Rank: Jedi Padawan + Force Jump used the Force to augment the users natural leaping ability. Force users adept in this technique could perform awe-inspiring vertical/horizontal leaps with impunity. Telepathy Rank: Jedi Padawan + Telepathy was the very basic ability to mentally communicate over small or vast distances with other individuals. Every Force User, Jedi or Sith, was able to use it. Section 5 - Force in Practise, Universal Force Powers Universal Force Powers Universal powers are generic Force techniques which were associates with neither side of the Force. Almost all Core powers are also qualified as Universal powers but many of them were uncommon and not an intgral part of basic Jedi training. Art of the Small Rank: Jedi Knight + Art of the Small was a radical Force technique. By narrowing their focus, a Force user could essentially shrink their presence to a microscopic size. While in this state the user could alter things or themselves at a molecular level, turning them to something else. Battle Meditation Rank: Jedi Knight + Battle Meditation was a manifestation of the Force which instilled in the meditator's allies a greater morale in battle while reducing the opposition's will to fight. Breath Control Rank: Jedi Knight + Using the Force power Breath Control a Jedi could literally numb the body's instinct to shut itself down after long periods without oxygen, allowing the user to be able to go without breathing for hours, even days, using the Force to reserve the amounts of air in the lungs. Comprehend Speech Rank: Jedi Knight + Comprehend Speech is a Force ability that enables a Jedi to understand the spoken language of any sentinent that they are interacting with, though it does not necessarily allow them to speak it, merely understand the general meaning. Doppleganger Rank: Jedi Master Doppleganger was a Force power that allowed a user to create a perfect illusion of his or herself through the Force. Force Bellow Rank: Jedi Knight + Force Bellow was a power in which the user could amplify their voice using the Force. Force Body Rank: Jedi Knight + Force Body was a universal Force technique that allowed the user to use the Force with their own life energy along with Force energy. Higher levels of this power allowed for more efficient use of life and Force energy. Force Comprehension Rank: Jedi Master Force Comprehension was the ability to absorb and interpret great quantities of information rapidly by speeding up the user's neural processes. Mind Trick Rank: Jedi Knight + Mind Trick refers to a spectrum of Force powers which influenced thoughts of sentient creatures, most commonly used to coerce into agreement by suggestion through voice manipulation, or to cause one to reveal information. Force Deflection Rank: Jedi Master Force Deflection was a Force power used by Jedi and Sith who were without a lightsaber, or chose not to carry one. It was a Force move that deflected incoming attacks instead of using a lightsaber. Force Listening Rank: Jedi Master Force Listening was a Force technique used by the Theran Listeners to hear through the Force. With it Force-Sensitives could understand words in another language or listen to beings talking from a distance. Force Flash Rank: Jedi Knight + Force Flash was a Force power employed when the person using it temporarily did not want to be seen. The user could temporarily disable a security holocam, causing a brief period of static, allowing the user to pass while only alerting security to a minor holocam malfunction. Force Meld Rank: Jedi Master Force Meld was a technique where a number of Force users joined their minds together through the Force, drawing strength from each other. Force Suppression Rank: Jedi Knight + Force Suppression was a Force technique used to attack the will of the target, cancelling all first and second tier Force powers. This would individually affect each active Force power. Force Breach Rank: Jedi Master Force Breach was an advanced variation of Force Suppression that interrupted all powers in use by the target at the time. It was a technique employed when a foe was preparing for a Force-based attack by disrupting their concentration and scrambling their focus. Force Vision Rank: Jedi Master Force Visions were rare but powerful aspects of the Force, and were considered the cornerstone of the Unifying Force. Force Whirlwind Rank: Jedi Knight + Force Whirlwind was a variant of the Force Push which carried gusts of winds using the Force to cause a more destructive blow. Force Weapon Rank: Jedi Master Force Weapon was a Force ability that allowed the user to imbue an unpowered weapon with the Force for a brief period of time. By channeling energy into the weapon, it allowed the weilder to strike and do more damage than the weapons simple appearance. Precognition Rank: Jedi Master Precognition is the ability of foresight. It was perhaps universal to the Jedi or the Force Sensitives and was manifested in the form of Force Visions of future events, or helped the Jedi predict his opponents movements. Psychometry Rank: N/A Psychometry was a Force power that was a mental technique of picking up impressions and traces of information about the object touched and the events that have surrounded it. Sever Force Rank: Jedi Master Server Force was a Force power by which a person's connection to the Force was removed from them, Those who were cut off from the Force by this power were unable to manipulate the Force themselves, as well as unable to be sensed through the Force by others. Shatterpoints Rank: N/A Shatterpoints were a complex Force phenomenon, perceivable only by an unknown innate talent or immense focus and concentration on the part of the Force-users. Tapas Rank: Jedi Knight + Tapas was a Force power that allowed its user to draw on the power of the Force to remain warm in a cold environment. Section 5 - Force in Practise, Lightsided Force Powers Alter Environment Rank: Jedi Knight + This power involved using techniques to manipulate nature. Creations such as whirlwind, waves and lightning could be harnessed as well as altering temperature. Jedi use the Life Force in these aspects to harness the power, so little strain was needed. Animal Friendship Rank: Jedi Padawan + This Force ability allowed a Jedi to calm an animal. Once calmed the animal would be tamed enough to be riden or simply calmed. At an advanced level animals could be taimed enough to control and used to aid a Jedi. Battlemind Rank: Jedi Padawan + This power allowed a Jedi to directly focus all his energy into morale and fighting. Battlemind allows sheer focus through the Force. Force Combustion Rank: Jedi Knight + This Force ability allowed a Jedi to make an object explode by sheer force of will. It was rarely used on a person as the effects on objects was devastating. The power of this ability depends on the objects size, density and vulnerability. Cure Disease Rank: Jedi Knight + This Force ability was a variant of Force Healing that could curse diseases afflicting living organisms. The power required extended concentration for around an hour or more. It takes several hours to purge a disease. Only present and future effects could be prevented. Cure Poison Rank: Jedi Knight + This Force ability was a variant of Force Healing that could remove or detoxify poisons afflicting living organisms. The power requires hours of concentration and lots of power to remove the most potent poisons. It would only heal the present and future effects of it. Dissipate Force Rank: Jedi Initiate + This Force ability negated the characteristics of a Force power. This would allow a Jedi to remove or stop the effects of a certain power like Force Push or Force Lightning while they are happening. Droid Disable Rank: Jedi Initiate + This Force ability allowed a Jedi to cause a droid to short circuit. Master Arca Jeth discovered this technique during the Great Droid Revolution, which allowed the Jedi to deactivate the droid army of HK-01. This power depending on the user could stun, disable or destroy the droid. Electric Judgement Rank: Master This Force ability is uncommon and disapproved of within the Jedi, because of it's similarity to Lightning and use of anger and aggression. By a Jedi it emitted yellow or green energy and required much skill to harness. It is also known as Emerald Lightning. Force Absorb Rank: Jedi Padawan + This Force ability allowed the Jedi to absorb Force energy, usually harmful, and use it to strengthen their connection to the Force. It negated Force powers as well as used to drain Force from others to refresh their Force ability. Aspects could let a Jedi absorb Force powers. Force Armour Ranking: Jedi Knight + This Force ability allowed a Jedi to create a defensive aura that surrounded them. It protects them from Force powers, lessening their effects or stopping them all together. It is a power used frequently in battle to defend against Darksided powers. Force Blinding Rank: Jedi Padawan + This Force ability allowed a Jedi to emmit a blinding flash of energy from their hands. This would overload the targets vision, causing temporary blindness. To combat this ability others can use Force Sight to percieve the world through the Force and pass the Blinding Light. Force Enlightenment Rank: Jedi Master This Force ability allowed a Jedi to take the defensive Force powers a Jedi was most skilled in, pushing them to the highest degree they could handle. The end result was an enlightened Jedi, having unlocked and harnessed the Lightside of the Force fully. Force Healing Rank: Jedi Knight + [Advanced] This Force ability allowed a Jedi to use the Force to accelerate the healing process rapidly. Meditation was required before such a feat to enable healing of any kind. Force Heal could save life as well as cure disease. Only Jedi Healers were known to be able to accomplish such a thing. Force Light Rank: Jedi Master [Advanced] This Force ability allowed a Jedi of only the highest potency and skill to weaken a Darksider's connection to the Force. Jedi could either purge or contain the Darkside or Nexus points, whether in places, spirits or living persons through withering blasts of Lightsided energy. Force Meld Rank: Jedi Master This Force ability allowed numerous Jedi to join their minds together through the Force, drawing strength from each other. The power could also be used as a form of Telepathy. Only a Master had the strength to hold the minds together without destruction. Force Persuasion Rank: Jedi Padawan + This Force ability allowed a Jedi to exert influence over sentient living things. Often persuading the victim would mean waving your hand in the air and changing your tone of voice, emitting the ability. The victim would then be effected by this and repeat in a trance like way. Force Projection Rank: Jedi Knight + This Force ability allowed a Jedi to create an inanimate apparition similar to himself, used to distract, confuse or lure others. The projection could withstand incoming fire but would bare little or no Force within it. Force Stun Rank: Jedi Initiate + This Force ability allowed a Jedi to temporarily deaden the senses and perceptions of a targeted enemy. It was often used when a Jedi faced lots of opponents or if they wished to disable an enemy long enough to flee from or apprehend them. This worked on one enemy at a time. Force Stasis Rank: Jedi Knight + This Force ability allowed a Jedi to more potently stun an enemy into a near-catatonic like freezing effect. This was a powerful version of a Force Stun. Force Valor Rank: Jedi Knight + This Force ability allowed a Jedi to increase the resolve, accuracy and speed of themselves and allies. Using this a Jedi could increase the rate at which his capacities functioned, allowing the body to be quicker, more powerful and able to fight better. Hibernation Trance Rank: Jedi Master This Force ability allowed a Jedi to allow himself to go into a state of hibernation. This slowed down the users metabolism and breathing to a standstill. A skilled user could survive in this state for a month maximum. This effect could also allow the user to appear dead. Malacia Rank: Jedi Master This Force ability allowed a Jedi to induce a powerful dizziness and nausaea into others. It was completely incapacitating but caused no real damage to the body. This is why it isn't considered Darksided. Malacia could rarely be blocked. Mind Trick Rank: Jedi Padawan + This Force ability allowed a Jedi to influence the thoughts of sentient creatures, most commonly used to coerce into agreement by suggestion through voice manipulation, or to cause one to reveal information. This allowed situations to be resolved in non violent ways. Morichro Rank: Jedi Master [Advanced] This Force ability allowed a Jedi of incredibly high skill, usually only Jedi Masters, to suspend biological functions, including breathing and heart rate. It was rarely used, and usually only by Jedi Healers. You could use it on yourself to survive without food, water or air. However this did not work in space. Plant Surge Rank: Jedi Padawan + This Force ability allowed a Jedi to channel life energy into plants, allowing the user to improve the plants rate of growth and even effect the manner in which it grows. It could be manipulated to make plants twist around enemies and grow at incredible speeds. Protection Bubble Rank: Knight + This Force ability allowed a Jedi to create a defensive sphere around their body. It appears as a globe of blue energy. It could protect the user from a wide range of attacks such as blaster fire, lightsaber and even space. It could be created around an enemy also. Ray Rank: Jedi Master This Force ability allowed a Jedi to manipulate energy into matter which could be controlled. From this a Jedi could block blaster bolts and lightsaber attacks. Ray could only be sustained by skilled Masters and had the potential of dissipating. Revitalize Rank: Jedi Knight + This Force ability allowed a Jedi to revitalize an exhausted, wounded or unconcious person. This does not work on droids. Sever Force Rank: Jedi Master [Advanced] This power can only be attempted by the strongest Jedi Masters and can only be achieved through group effort. This Force ability allowed a Jedi Masrer to sever a persons connection to the Force, making them dead to it. Shatterpoint Rank: N/A This Force ability allowed a Jedi to percieve innate talent or immense focus and concentration on part of a Force user. It was an ability to cause events to transpire completely differently through a single action. Force Orb Rank: Padawan This Force ability allowed a Jedi to create a ball of Force energy underwater and propel it at an object causing devastating effects. It could also be used on land to gather moisture in an area. Wall of Light Rank: Jedi Master [Several] This Force ability allowed a group of Jedi Masters to collectively focus on an object, person or place and channel their Force power into a single devastating attack. It would create a wall of Lightsided energy which would trap the Darkside and purge it. Levitation Rank: Jedi Master This Force ability allowed a Jedi to suspend themselves against the Force of gravity. Levitation required no physucal contact. Using the Force an individual could then hover in place or more about wherever they desired. Crucitorn Rank: Jedi Knight + This Force ability allowed a Jedi to transcend physical pain beyond their normal threshold. For instance, it would aid a Jedi in resisting torture. Battle Precognition Rank: All This Force ability allowed a Jedi to predict and sense the flows of the Force and anticipate an opponents moves, increasing reaction time in combat. This is also considered a Universal and Core technique. Force Ghost Rank: N/A [Dead] The Force Ghost was the soul and essence of a deceased Jedi who had become one with the Force. They are able to interact with the Living, but not physically. |
